Have a lot of catching up to do on the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour, starting with …
William Quartermain of Bryn Mawr made a birdie on the second hole and had six pars on his scorecard as he carded a solid 1-over-par 36 to claim the top spot in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour Nine-Hole Series stop July 14th at Flourtown Country Club.
Rayan Shah of Newtown, who has been showing up on the coed 12-and-under divisions leaderboards a lot lately, finished two shots behind Quartermain in second place with a 3-over 38. Shah made an eagle on the par-4 seventh hole at Flourtown and had four pars on his card.
Jason Leekley of Moorestown, N.J. and Logan Turner of Berwyn shared third place, each ending up a shot behind Shah with a 4-over 39. Leekley made birdies at the second and seventh holes and had three pars on his card while Turner had five pars on his card.
Both members of Villanova’s Team Sokol, Henry Sokol and Jack Sokol, carded a 41 and shared fifth place along with Zachary Proud of Stroudsburg.
William Thorkelson of Bryn Mawr and Henry Mysliwiec of Doylestown finished in a tie for eighth place, each posting a 42.
Joseph Aronson of Souderton rounded out the top 10 in the Nine-Hole Series event as he recorded a 44 to finish in 10th place.
