Michael Keller of Chadds Ford, playing out of the younger 13-to-15 division, put together a solid 3-over 74 at Coatesville Country Club to earn a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victory June 29th.
The Philly Junior Tour stop at Coatesville was rescheduled from earlier in June when it was postponed due to poor air quality from smoke from Canadian wildfires.
Keller only had one birdie at the fifth hole, but he was steady with 13 pars over the classic par-71 layout at Coatesville.
Charlie Barrickman of West Chester also had a steady round as he made a birdie on the 11th hole and had 12 pars on his card while finishing two shots behind Keller in second place among the younger guys with a 5-over 76.
Ian Larsen of Glenmoore made birdies on the 11th and 17th holes and had eight pars on his card as he finished a shot behind Barrickman in third place with a 77.

Avery O’Neill of Romansville and Luke LaScala of Wilmington, Del. shared seventh place, each registering an 83 and Trey Barkman of West Chester finished alone in ninth with an 85.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division were three players – a couple of Wayne guys, William Shuford and Will Shannon and Jimmy Warmkessel of Malvern – tied for 10th place, each carding an 86.
Chase Dillman, a junior at Boyertown, carded a solid 6-over 77 to claim a Philly Junior Tour victory in the 16-to-18 division.
Dillman had 13 pars on his scorecard, making 10 pars in his final 11 holes on his way to the clubhouse, to finish two shots ahead of runnersup Will Walsh, a junior at Radnor, and Twin Valley senior and occasional Stonewall looper Shayne O’Doherty, each of whom recorded a 79.
Walsh made a birdie on the first hole and had 10 pars on his card, seven of them on the incoming nine at Coatesville. O’Doherty also got it going on the back nine with birdies at the 11th, 16th and 18th holes to go with the seven pars on his card.
Tyler Derstein of Telford took fourth place with an 80, Ian Yoo of Blue Bell was fifth with an 81 and Blair Mitchell, another Blue Bell guy, and Alex Kaun of Lancaster finished in a tie for sixth place, each posting an 84.
Landon Fox of Wilmington, Del. took eighth place with an 87 and Noah Richardson of Malvern, Jamie Stait of Bryn Mawr, Aiden Leary of Ambler and Charlie Mertz of Reading rounded out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division as they finished in a tie for ninth, each landing on 88.
Rayan Shah of Newtown continued his solid play this season as he bested the field of nine-holers with a 2-over 37. Shah birdied the seventh hole and had six pars on his scorecard as he claimed his second straight Philly Junior Tour victory, a day after earning a victory at Pennsauken Country Club. The win at Coatesville was Shah’s eighth this season.
