Quakertown senior Brady Gallagher put together a solid 4-over-par 75 at Southmoore Golf Course in Bath, Northampton County to claim a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour win in the 16-to-18 division played in some serious heat and humidity July 13th.
Gallagher made birdies at the fourth and 14th holes and had 10 pars on his scorecard to edge Pierce Murphy of Ardmore by a shot among the older guys.
Murphy made a birdie on the 17th hole and had 11 pars on his card, including five in a row to open his back nine from 10 through 14.
Tyler Derstein, a recent Christopher Dock graduate, made a birdie on the 10th hole and had six pars on his card as he finished in third place with an 82.
Zachary Miller of Nazareth rounded out the field in the 16-to-18 division as he finished alone in fourth place with an 83.
Christopher Everly of Atglen made a birdie on the 16th hole and had six pars on his scorecard as he claimed a victory in the 13-to-15 division with an 86.
Quinn Gallagher of Bryn Mawr was a shot behind Everly in second place as he made a birdie on the 12th hole and had five pars on his card on his way to an 87.
Nathaniel Mette of Nazareth had three pars on his card, all on Southmoore’s incoming nine, as he rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division, finishing in third place with a 96.
Allie Tarreto of Nazareth was one of just two players to tee it up in the girls 16-to-18 division and she made a birdie at the 17th hole and had a par at two as she earned a Philly Junior Tour victory with a 92.
Shayla Ames had four pars on her scorecard as she rounded out the short field in the 16-to-18 division, earning runnerup honors with a 97.
Team Sokol of Villanova went 1-2 among the nine-holers with Henry Sokol finishing with six pars on his scorecard to best the field with a solid 4-over 40.
Jack Sokol and Jonathan Thomas of Landenberg rounded out a short field in the coed 12-and-under division as they finished in a tie for second place, each recording a 47.
Jack Sokol had four pars on his card as it was a turnaround from two days earlier at Northampton Valley Country Club when Jack Sokol bested the field of nine-holers while Henry Sokol finished in seventh place.
Thomas made a par on the fifth hole to get his share of second place with Jack Sokol.
