Cameron Peffel of Fleetwood had the best score of the day among the boys as he finished at the top of the leaderboard in the 13-to-15 division with a 3-over-par 74 in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Bent Creek Country Club in Lititz Aug. 22nd.
Peffel made birdies at the second, 12th and 18th holes and had 11 pars on his scorecard. Peffel finished strong, touring the incoming nine in 1-under 35.
Link Matozzo of Philadelphia and Ian Larsen of Glenmoore shared second place, each finishing three shots behind Peffel with a 6-over 77. Matozzo had 12 pars on his card, including five straight to finish his round. Larsen made an eagle on the par-5 ninth hole, a birdie at 18 and had seven pars on his card.
Lawson Leeper of York took fourth place with a 78, Cameron Werder was fifth with an 80, Michael Liu was sixth with an 81 and Jin Sun was seventh with an 83.
Brooks Bernabei took eighth place with an 89, Ryan Kelly was ninth with a 94 and Luke Fallon rounded out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division as he finished alone in 10th place with a 101.
Jaden Minter, a senior on the defending Pioneer Athletic Conference champion Spring-Ford golf team, made birdies on the fourth and 17th holes and had nine pars on his scorecard as he claimed a victory in the 16-to-18 division with a solid 7-over 78.
Lucas Steinmetz, a senior at The Hill School, made birdies at the 11th and 15th holes and had six pars on his card as he earned runnerup honors among the older guys with an 83.
Cole Beakes of Millersville made a birdie on the seventh hole and had four pars on his card as he ended up in third place with an 89.
Rounding out the field in the 16-to-18 division was Ethan Sample, who finished alone in fourth place with a 90.
Ava Svindland of Wilmington, Del. was the lone entry in the 16-to-18 division and her 80 was the best score of the day in either of the girls divisions. Svindland made birdies on the eighth and 11th holes and had six pars on her scorecard.
Giula Weisser of Reading had eight pars on her card as she claimed a victory in the 13-to-15 division with an 85.
Mina Benedetto of West Chester was just a shot behind Weisser in second place with an 86 as she made birdies at the fifth and 18th holes and had four pars on her card. Hannah Webb of Woolwich, N.J. made a birdie on the 10th hole and had four pars on her card as she finished in third place with a 92.
Kayla Quimby took fourth place with a 94, Makayla Stone was fifth with a 95, Julia Hashem was sixth with a 104 and Alana Cristino rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as she finished seventh with a 120.
Dane Mohap of Nazareth continued to dominate the nine-holers as he made birdies at the third and seventh holes and had five pars on his scorecard to best the field by eight shots with an even-par 35.
Onyu Park of Blue Bell made three pars while posting an 8-over 43 to earn runnerup honors. Winston Chew of Exton also made three pars as he finished in third place with a 46.
Ethan Clouser took fourth place with a 47, Tyler Myers was fifth with a 50, Kieran Shaw was sixth with a 52 and Jason Romano rounded out the field in the coed 12-and-under division by finishing seventh with a 56.
