Quinten Joiner of Millington, Md. captured the title in the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour’s coed 12-and-under division Championship Aug. 3 with a 2-over-par 37 on the back nine at Pennsauken Country Club in Pennsauken Township, N.J.
Joiner made birdies at the 11th and 15th holes and had three pars on his scorecard to claim the crown over an increasingly competitive group of nine-holers.
Judd Fletcher of Moorestown, N.J. won a playoff to claim runnerup honors after he and Dane Mohap of Nazareth finished in a tie for second place at 4-over 39, two shots behind Joiner.
Fletcher made a birdie on the 14th hole and had three pars on his card.
Mohap was coming off a week during which he registered four Philly Junior Tour wins in the coed 12-and-under division in the space of five days. Mohap had four pars on his card at Pennsauken.
Rayan Shah of Newtown was a shot behind Fletcher and Mohap in fourth place with a 5-over 40.
Holden Sparks, another Nazareth entry who has had a solid 2022 season, and Carter Hippauf of Quakertown finished in a tie for fifth place, each signing for a 41.
J.D. Sivel of Hanover took seventh place with a 42 and Ian Rotto of Kennett Square and Jackson Lane of Cinnaminson, N.J. finished in a tie for eighth place, each landing on 43.
Rounding out the top 10 in the coed 12-and-under division Championship was Justin Stickel of Churchville as he finished alone in 10th place with a 44.
