Conestoga senior Kyle Mauro made it two straight Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victories as he shared the top spot in the 16-to-18 division with Joshua Emel of Wilmington, Del. in a stop at Northampton Valley Country Club July 26th.

Mauro made birdies on the first, seventh and 11th holes and had 11 pars on his scorecard on his to a 1-over-par 71 at the par-70 Northampton Valley layout in Richboro, Bucks County. Emel made a birdie on the second hole and had 15 pars on his card. Emel made pars on the last seven holes of Northampton Valley’s front nine, the third through the ninth holes, as he toured the outgoing nine in 1-under 34.

A day earlier Mauro recorded a 1-under 70 at Raven’s Claw Golf Club to finish alone atop the group of older guys who teed it up there.

Bonner-Prendergast senior Chris DiRita made birdies at the first, seventh and 13th holes and had 10 pars on his card as he finished a shot behind Mauro and Emel in third place with a 2-over 72.

Quinn Schroeder of Bensalem and Tyce Dendler of Yardley finished in a tie for fourth place, each posting a 6-over 76. Recent Marple Newtown graduate Jake Micewski, who capped his scholastic career by earning a trip to the PIAA Class AAA Championship last fall, and Drew Soltys of Warrington shared sixth place, each signing for a 77.

Leo Knott of Havertown was two shots behind Schroeder and Tyce Dendler in sixth place with a 79.

Rounding out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division were Jacob Costello of Woodbury Heights, N.J. and Manraj Grewal of Newtown, both of whom registered an 81 to finish in a tie for ninth place.

Another member of Yardley’s Team Dendler, Trevor Dendler, and La Salle sophomore Ethan Martin, a PIAA Class AAA qualifier last fall, finished in a tie for the top spot in the 13-to-15 division, each carding a 4-over 74.

Trevor Dendler’s steady round featured 14 pars, eight of them on Northampton Valley’s incoming nine. Martin made a birdie at the fourth hole and had had 13 pars on his card, including a string of six straight from the sixth to the 11th holes.

Quin Zeigner of New Hope made birdies at the second, 12th, 16th and 17th holes and had six pars on his card on his way to a 76 that left him alone in third place.

Daniel Rozinsky of Newtown took fourth place with a 77 and Anderson Brexler of Doylestown was another shot behind Rozinsky in fifth with a 78.

Germantown Academy sophomore Kiran Bagga, a member of the Patriots’ Inter-Ac League championship team last fall, had the best score of the day among the girls as she posted a solid 4-over 74 to finish atop the 13-to-15 division.

Bagga, a Blue Bell resident, made birdies at the third, ninth and 13th holes and had 10 pars on her scorecard.

Freja Jensen of Solebury made a par on the 15th hole as she earned runnerup honors with a 103. Lorena Zeigler of Doylestown rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as she also made a par on the 15th hole while taking third place with a 134.

Dane Mohap of Nazareth keeps piling up the victories as he and Justin Stickel of Churchville bested the field of nine-holers, each registering a 4-over 39 to share first place.

It was the second straight win for Mohap, who topped the field at Raven’s Claw a day earlier with a 4-over 40. Mohap’s win total for the 2022 season remained officially stuck on 12, which is what he was listed as having following the Raven’s Claw victory. The kid’s got a lot of wins, let’s leave it at that.

Mohap had five pars on his scorecard and Stickel had six pars on his card.

Henry Mysliwiec of Doylestown made a birdie on the fourth hole and had two pars on his card as he took third place with a 42.
