Justin Forman of Sewell, N.J. matched par with a 70 at Indian Spring Golf Course in Evesham, N.J. to finish atop the leaderboard in the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Aug. 12th.
Forman came on strong on the incoming nine at Indian Spring as he made back-to-back birdies at the 16th and 17th holes and had seven of the 14 pars on his scorecard on the back while registering a sizzling 2-under 33.
It was six shots back to Jack Orr, who claimed runnerup honors with a 6-over 76 as he made a birdie on the 10th hole and had 11 pars on his card.
Joseph Fargnoli of Mickleton, N.J. made birdies at the second, sixth, ninth and 12th holes and had four pars on his card as he finished in third place with a solid 78.
Matthew Carabasi took fourth place with an 84, Matthew Morris was fifth with an 85, Alex Henbest was sixth with an 86 and Anthony Carson of Broomall was seventh with an 89.
Christopher Chicano ended up in eighth place with a 93, Dominic Polistina was ninth with a 96, Jacob Costello was 10th with a 97 and Reed Wixted rounded out the field in the 16-to-18 division, finishing in 11th place with a 100.
Paul Reilly of West Creek, N.J. made a birdie on the fourth hole and had 13 pars on his scorecard, including seven straight to finish his round, as he claimed a victory in the 13-to-15 division with a 4-over 74.
Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg made a birdie on the 16th hole and had 10 pars on his card as he finished two shots behind Reilly in second place with a 76.
Trevor Sieben of Medford, N.J. made a birdie on the 17th hole and had nine pars on his card as he finished in third place with an 81.
Devin Carpenter, Daniel Herzchel and Ben Conner finished in a tie for fourth place, each signing for an 84. Ben Mayer and R.J. Foley shared seventh place, each posting an 85.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division were Quin Zuegner and Harrison Brown as they finished in a tie for ninth place, each landing on 87.
The best score among the girls emerged from the 13-to-15 division as Katherine Liu of Moorestown, N.J. made a birdie on the sixth hole and had eight pars on her scorecard for an 80 that gave her a second straight Philly Junior Tour victory. Katherine Liu had claimed a Philly Junior Tour victory two days earlier at Paxon Hollow Country Club.
Sarah Cohen had seven pars on her card as she finished two shots behind Katherine Liu in second place with an 82. Ajuni Oberoi was another two shots behind Cohen in third place with an 84.
Annalise Capoli took fourth place with a 99 and Emma Liu rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as she finished fifth with a 101.
Grace Klements earned the top spot in the 16-to-18 division as she had 11 pars on her card on her way to an 81.
Jiayin Ou earned runnerup honors with a 91 that featured a pair of pars. Yasmeen Muhammad made back-to-back pars at the 16th and 17th holes as she rounded out the field in the 16-to-18 division by finishing in third place with a 95.
Judd Fletcher of Moorestown, N.J. and Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg were the co-medalists among the nine-holers as each carded a 4-over 39. Fletcher made a birdie on the second hole and had four pars on his scorecard while Proud had five pars on his card.
Dane Mohap of Nazareth was a shot behind the top two as he finished in third place – he’s been so hot that third was his worst finish in the last couple of weeks – with a 5-over 40. Mohap had four pars on his card.
Max Davis took fourth place with a 44, Gabrielle Kim was fifth with a 45 and Thomas Carpenter and William Thorkelson finished in a tie for sixth, each recording a 47.
Alaina Carson of Broomall’s Team Carson and Jackson Lane of Cinnaminson, N.J. shared eighth place, each posting a 48, and Gavin Lane, another member of Team Lane from Cinnaminson, N.J., rounded out the top 10 in the coed 12-and-under field as he finished in 10th place with a 49.
