Luka Fediukov of Downingtown, Lawson Leeper of York and Judd Fletcher of Moorestown, N.J. each carded a 4-over-par 33 on DuPont Country Club’s Montchanin Course to share first place in the final event of the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour’s 9-Hole Series Friday.
It was the final tuneup for the nine-holers before the coed 12-and-under Championship, which will be played Wednesday at Huntingdon Valley Country Club’s Centennial Nine.
Fediukov had five pars, including three straight at the second, third and fourth holes. Leeper birdied the fifth hole and had four pars. Fletcher had a pair of birdies at the fourth and sixth holes and three pars on his scorecard.
Jason Mack of Delaware Water Gap capped a strong week that saw him earn co-medalist honors in Tuesday’s Philly Junior Tour stop at Raven’s Claw Golf Club and win outright Wednesday at Running Deer Golf Club as he posted a solid 5-over 34 on the 1,716-yard, par-29 Montchanin Course layout to share fourth place with Benjamin Robbins of Holland and William Littleton of Fort Washington.
Wyatt Underwood of Telford finished alone in seventh place with a 35.
Six players finished a shot behind Underwood in a tie for eighth place, each landing on 36, including Ian Rotko of Kennett Square, Sebastian Park of Lansdale, Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg, Benjamin Mayer of Garnet Valley, Chase Wilson of Talleyville, Del. and Beckett Chipman of Wilmington, Del.
It was a testament to how competitive the coed 12-and-under division has become as 13 players finished within three shots of each other.
