Tritsch matches par with a 71 at Medford Lakes to capture a Philly Junior Tour victory

Brayden Tritsch, playing close to his Medford, N.J. home, matched par at Medford Lakes Country Club in Medford Lakes, N.J. with a 71 to capture a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victory in the 16-to-18 division on a warm Wednesday.

The Medford Lakes stop on the Philly Junior Tour drew a big field of junior players, particularly from the South Jersey contingent.

And none of the guys were better than Tritsch. He only had one birdie, at the second hole, but his steady round featured 16 pars, including 10 straight pars from the third through the 12th holes.

Ravi Gohel of Mount Laurel, N.J. was Tritsch’s closest pursuer among the older guys as he had 12 pars on his scorecard, finishing up his round with four straight pars, as he earned runnerup honors with a 6-over 77.

Finishing in a tie for third place in the 16-to-18 division chase were a couple of Chases, Chase Adomaitis of Egg Harbor Township, N.J. and Chase Baker of Huntingdon Valley.

Adomaitis made birdies at the seventh and 11th holes and had nine pars on his card. Baker made a birdie on the fifth hole and had nine pars on his card, including a string of five straight pars from the 10th through the 14th holes.

Cabot made birdies at the fourth, seventh and 13th holes and had 13 pars on her scorecard, finishing up her round with five straight pars.

Cabot will be starting high school this fall and some school is going to have a talented addition to its roster.
