It took a scorecard tiebreaker to determine the winner and Downingtown West senior Brady Manning emerged with the victory as he, Springfield senior Ben Pintof and Radnor junior Shaun Mazzalupi tuned up for the District One Championship with matching even-par rounds of 71 in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Saturday at Linfield National Golf Club in Limerick Township.
Manning’s birdie on the 16th hole, one of four he had in his round, proved to be decisive in the tiebreaker, giving him the victory in the 16-to-18 division.
Manning also made birdies at the fifth, eighth and 13th holes and had 11 pars on his scorecard.
Pintof made birdies at the third, sixth, seventh and 12th holes and had 10 pars on his card. Mazzalupi made birdies at the fourth, 10th and 15th holes and had 12 pars on his card.
