Lawson Leeper of York made a habit of sitting at or near the top of the leaderboard when he competed with the nine-holers in the coed 12-and-under division.
So it’s not a huge surprise to see Leeper post the best score of the day with a 1-over-par 73 and finish at the top of the leaderboard in the 13-to-15 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, Lancaster County Sunday.
It was a steady round by Leeper as he made a birdie at the second hole and then went back-to-back with birdies at 14 and 15 on the back nine of the par-72 Foxchase layout while also registering 11 pars.
Charlie Barrickman of West Chester made birdies on the second, 12th, 15th and 18th holes and had nine pars on his scorecard as he earned runnerup honors with a 3-over 75.

Heckman made birdies on the seventh, eighth and 15th holes and had eight pars on his card. Rotto made a birdie on the seventh hole and had seven pars on his scorecard to claim the victory. Mohap, who has dominated the coed 12-and-under division for much of the 2022 season, had six pars on his card as he earned runnerup honors with a 4-over 39.
