Saturday afternoon’s line of afternoon storms limited the field for the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, Lancaster County to nine holes and the best score of the day emerged from the coed 12-and-under division, which normally only plays nine holes.
Trevor Sieben of Medford, N.J. made birdies on the second and fourth holes and had six pars on his way to a 1-under 34 on the front nine at Foxchase to best the field of nine-holers and earn a Junior Tour victory. Quin Zuegner of New Hope made a birdie at the eighth hole and had five pars on his scorecard as he earned runnerup honors with a 2-over 37.
Carson Jakuc of Newtown Square made birdies at the first and sixth holes and had three pars on his card as he finished in third place with a 4-over 39.
Jason Mack of Delaware Water Gap took fourth place with a 40, Lawson Leeper of York was fifth with a 41 and a pair of players from Lansdale, Sebastian Park and Preston Minio, shared sixth, each registering a 44.
Giulia Weisser of Reading took eighth place with a 45, Sonia Dumasia of Lititz was ninth with a 47 and Tara Griscavage of Mechanicsburg rounded out the top 10 in the coed 12-and-under division as she posted a 50 to finish alone in 10th.
Athen Sachar of York made a birdie at the 13th hole and had five pars on his scorecard as he earned a Junior Tour victory in the boys 16-to-18 division with a 2-over 40. The two boys divisions played holes nine through 17.
Aaron Miller of Lehighton made a birdie at the 14th hole and had four pars to finish a shot behind Sachar in second place with a 3-over 41. Grey Conta of Hummelstown had six pars on his scorecard to finish alone in third place with a 4-over 42.
Springfield junior Benjamin Pintof and Garrett Wible of Royersford finished in a tie for fifth place, each carding a 44. Nathan Jones of Wayne took seventh place with a 47, Andrew Bauer of Reading was eighth with a 48 and Leighton Smithwick of Boalsburg rounded out the 16-to-18 division field as he finished ninth with a 50.
Andrew Elkstrom of York matched fellow York entry Sachar’s 2-over 40 to take top honors in the 13-to-15 division. Elkstrom birdied the 17th hole and had six pars on his scorecard.
Chase Dillman of Gilbertsville and Shayne O’Doherty of Glenmoore finished in a tie for second place, each landing four shots behind Elkstrom with a 44. Dillman had six pars on his card while O’Doherty made a birdie at the 16th hole and had two pars.
Noah Richardson of Malvern and Benjamin Mayer of Garnet Valley finished in a tie for fourth place, each posting a 49. Owen Tilsner of Dresher finished a shot behind Richardson and Mayer in sixth place with a 50.
Michael Liu, another Garnet Valley entry, and Matthew Daughtry of Williamstown, N.J. shared seventh place, each signing for a 51. James Ciccarelli of Danville rounded out the 13-to-15 division field as he carded a 55 to finish ninth.
Katherine Liu of Moorestown, N.J. and Alexandra Engart of Harleysville each carded a 6-over 43 as they were tied atop the girls 13-to-15 leaderboard. Katherine Liu and Engart each finished with four pars on their scorecards as the girls played holes four through 12.
Kayla Quimby of West Lawn had two pars on her card as she took third place with a 50. Gabriella Magno of Delran, N.J. rounded out the 13-to-15 division field as she carded a 52 to finish alone in fourth place.
Heidi Wigscheider of Boyertown was the lone entry in the girls 16-to-18 division and carded a 59.
