Colin Vineburg of Sparks, Md. put together a steady 3-over-par 75 on a beautiful late summer Saturday at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club in Quarryville in southern Lancaster County to finish atop the leaderboard in the 16-to-18 division and claim a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victory.
Vineburg made birdies on the 10th, 12th and 17th holes and had 10 pars on his scorecard, including eight straight from the second through the ninth holes to close out the outgoing nine at the par-72 Tanglewood Manor layout.
Michael Felty of Selinsgrove got off to a fast start with birdies at the first two holes and had 10 pars on his card as he finished a shot behind Vineburg with a 4-over 76 to earn runnerup honors.
Avon Grove junior Tyler Sikorski, Cole Stoltzfus of Gap and Joseph Fargnoli of Mickleton, N.J. finished in a tie for third place, each landing on 82.
Sikorski had 10 pars on his card, Stoltzfus made birdies at the second and 10th holes and has seven pars on his card and Fargnoli made an eagle at the par-5 second hole, added birdies at three and 14 and had seven pars on his card.
Jackson Colonna of Avondale took sixth place with an 84, Ethan Beidler of Bethel was seventh with an 89 and Rishabh Jupudi of Philadelphia rounded out the field in the 16-to-18 division as he finished alone in eighth place with a 90.
Avery O’Neill of Romansville made birdies at the second and 11th holes and had eight pars on his scorecard as he claimed a victory in the 13-to-15 division with a 7-over 79.
Braden Paris of Elkton, Md. made an eagle at the par-5 second hole, added a birdie at 14 and had eight pars on his card as he finished in second place with an 83. Rudy Mench of Wilmington, Del. made a birdie at the sixth hole and had four pars on his card as he finished in third place with an 88.
Justin Marcus of Glenmoore took fourth place with an 89, Luke Daniels of Devon and Quinn Glass of Camden-Wyoming, Del. shared fifth, each posting a 92, and Brooks Bernabei of Lancaster was seventh with a 94.
Brian McCarty of Blue Bell took eighth place with a 95, Ryan Guenard of Furlong was ninth with a 97 and Shawn Zhu of Downingtown rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as he finished in 10th place with a 108.
Cesar Rodney sophomore Reagan Garnsey continued her late-summer roll on the Philly Junior Tour as she made a birdie on the 12th hole and had nine pars on her scorecard to earn a victory in the girls 13-to-15 division with an 8-over 80.
A week earlier, Garnsey was the co-medalist in the 13-to-15 division along with Meredith Finger of Wilmington, Del. in a Philly Junior Tour stop at Odessa National Golf Club in Townsend, Del.
Giulia Weisser of Reading made birdies on the fourth and 14th holes and had four pars on her card as she earned runnerup honors at Tanglewood Manor with an 88.
Anika Fernandes of Radnor rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as she made pars on the 12th and 14th holes on her way to a 108 that left her in third place.
Dane Mohap of Nazareth has been a force among the nine-holers all summer and that trend continued at Tanglewood Manor as he made birdies at the third and ninth holes and had three pars on his scorecard to claim another Philly Junior Tour victory in the coed 12-and-under division with a 2-over 38.
Nicholas Fargnoli, another member of Team Fargnoli out of Mickleton, N.J., closed out his round with five straight pars as he earned a runnerup finish with a 43. Joseph Walsh of Hershey made a par at the seventh hole as he ended up in third place with a 45.
Kieran Shaw of Downingtown took fourth place with a 47, Jake Julian of Malvern was fifth with a 56 and Connor Masulis of Pottstown rounded out the field in the coed 12-and-under division field as he finished in sixth place with a 66.
