Patrick O’Hara put together a solid 3-over-par 74 to finish at the top of the leaderboard in the 16-to-18 division and claim a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victory in a stop at Laurel Creek Country Club in Mount Laurel Township, N.J. Aug. 23rd.
O’Hara made birdies in the fifth, ninth and 11th holes and had nine pars on his scorecard to pull out a one-shot victory over Tommy Marshall of Marlton, N.J. Marshall’s steady 4-over 75 included birdies at the second and 15th holes and he had 12 pars on his card.
Justin Forman of Sewell, N.J. and Daniel Cantwell of Moorestown, N.J. were another shot behind Marshall in a tie for third place, each signing for a 5-over 76. Forman made birdies at the fifth, seventh and 12th holes and had eight pars on his card. Cantwell made a birdie on the ninth hole and had 12 pars on his card, including five straight pars to close out his round.
Michael Henry took fifth place with a 77, Aiden Fallon-Louis was sixth with a 79 and the trio of Jacob Costello, Joseph Fargnoli and Evan Ramos finished in a tie for seventh place, each recording an 83.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division was Matthew Morris, who finished alone in 10th place with an 85.
Ryan Sun of Morganville, N.J. claimed the top spot in the 13-to-15 division as he made birdies at the eighth and 12th holes and had 11 pars on his scorecard on his way to a solid 4-over 75.
Matthew Duphorn of Erial, N.J. and Paul Reilly of West Creek, N.J. shared runnerup honors as each carded a 77 to finish two shots behind Sun. Duphorn made birdies on the 11th and 15th holes and had nine pars on his card. Reilly made birdies at the 15th and 17th holes and had nine pars on his card.
Trevor Sieben was two shots behind Duhorn and Reilly in fourth place with a 79 and Ethan Barroway and Luke Tappeiner shared fifth as each posted an 82. Anderson Brexler and Quin Zuegner shared seventh place, each carding an 83.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division were Drake Brogan and Alex Topping as they finished in a tie for ninth place, each landing on 84.
Lauren Patullo of Moorestown, N.J. made a birdie on the ninth hole and had 10 pars on her scorecard, seven of them on Laurel Creek’s outgoing nine, as she earned a Philly Junior Tour victory by topping the field in the girls 13-to-15 division with an 81.
Hannah Webb of Woolwich, N.J. had five pars on her card as she claimed runnerup honors with a 99. Kasey O’Brien finished in third place as she had four pars on her card on her way to a 101.
Macai Klein and Emma Liu finished in a tie for fourth place, each registering a 111, and Annalise Capoli rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as she ended up in sixth with a 118.
Jackson Lane of Cinnaminson, N.J. bested a very competitive group of nine-holers as he made a birdie on the 14th hole and had six pars on his scorecard on his way to a 1-over 36.
Anthony Primo of Marlton, N.J. was right on Lane’s heels as he made a birdie on the 16th hole and had five pars on his card to finish in second place with a 2-over 37. Ian Rotto of Kennett Square made a birdie on the 15th hole and had three pars on his card as he finished two shots behind Primo in third place with a 4-over 39.
Dane Mohap of Nazareth, who has been one of the hottest players in the coed 12-and-under division all summer, and Judd Fletcher of Moorestown, N.J. shared fourth place, each signing for a 40.
Henry Sokol took sixth place with a 42, Lucas Solano was seventh with a 43, Jack Sokol, another member of Villanova’s Team Sokol, was eighth with a 44 and Nicholas Fargnoli of Team Fargnoli out of Mickleton, N.J. was ninth with a 47.
Rounding out the top 10 in the coed 12-and-under division was the trio of Winston Chew, Anthony Beach and Ryan Delaney, all of whom finished in a tie for 10th place with a 48.
