Sean Walker of Haddonfield, N.J. and Jack Gallagher, a junior at Harriton, were co-medalists in the 16-to-18 division as each carded a 6-over-par 77 in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Wednesday at Rancocas Golf Club in Willingboro, N.J.
Walker made a birdie on the 14th hole and had 11 pars on his scorecard, seven of them on the back as he finished strong with an even-par 36 on the incoming nine at the par-71 Rancocas layout. Gallagher made a birdie at the eighth hole and had 10 pars on his card.
Aidan Fallon-Louis of Cherry Hill, N.J. had a steady round with 12 pars on his way to a 78 that left him alone in third place.
Michael Dignazio of Wilmington, Del. and Owen Doyle of Galloway, N.J. finished in a tie for fourth place, each landing on 79.
Harriton senior Aiden Gallagher of Gladwyne’s Team Gallagher took seventh place with an 81, Christopher Chicano of West Berlin, N.J. of was eighth with an 83 and Jacob Dommel of Telford was ninth with an 85.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division were Matthew Morris of Haddonfield, N.J. and Zach Holmlund of Fort Washington, both of whom signed for an 86 to finish in a tie for 10th place.
Nicky Nemo of Bryn Mawr made a birdie at the eighth hole and had 10 pars on his scorecard as he claimed the top spot in the 13-to-15 division with a solid 7-over 78.
William Littleton of Fort Washington made birdies at the fifth and 16th holes and had seven pars on his card as he earned runnerup honors with a 79. William Forman of Wayne made a birdie at the 11th hole and had nine pars on his card as he finished alone in third place with an 80.
Justin Marcus of Glenmoore and Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg shared fourth place, each signing for an 84. Dylan Rothenberg of Moorestown, N.J. and James Schramek of Chalfont finished in a tie for sixth place, each recording an 87.
Liam Frykholm of Princeton, N.J. took eighth place with an 88, Trey Barkman of West Chester was ninth with an 89 and Ian Yoo of Blue Bell and John Carmody of Ambler rounded out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division field as they finished in a tie for 10th place, each landing on 92.
The best score among the girls emerged from the 13-to-15 division as Savannah Laverty of Moorestown, N.J. finished strong, making birdies at the 15th and 18th holes down the stretch on her way to a 9-over 80 that gave her the victory. Laverty also had six pars on her scorecard.
Reagan Wilson of Kennett Square rounded out the field among the younger girls as she carded a 105 to earn runnerup honors. Wilson had pars on the ninth and 12th holes.
Only three girls teed it up in the 16-to-18 division, but only a shot separated the three players.
Hannah Puc of Marlton, N.J. captured the division title with an 85 as she had nine pars on her scorecard, six of them on the back nine.
That strong finish enabled Puc to hold off Curstan Bunch of Wilmington, Del. and Conestoga junior Brynne Mushlin as they finished in a tie for second place, each signing for an 86. Bunch had eight pars on her card while Mushlin made a birdie on the eighth hole and had nine pars on her card.
Dane Mohap of Nazareth made it two straight Philly Junior Tour victories as he made a birdie on the third hole and had three pars on his scorecard to finish atop the field of nine-holers with a 5-over 40. Mohap was coming off a victory in Monday’s Philly Junior Tour stop at Meadia Heights Golf Club in Lancaster.
Judd Fletcher of Moorestown, N.J. made a birdie on the third hole and added a par at nine as he earned runnerup honors with a 6-over 41, a shot behind Mohap. Another Moorestown, N.J. entry, Chloe Donohue, finished two shots behind Fletcher in third place with a 43 that featured three pars.
Jackson Lane of Cinnaminson, N.J. was a shot behind Donohue in fourth place with a 44 and Zachary Proud of Stroudsburg’s Team Proud took fifth with a 47.
Rounding out the field in the coed 12-and-under division was David Padgett of Barnegat, N.J. as he finished in sixth place with a 57.
