Robert Beck of Allentown toured the back nine at Indian
Valley Country Club in Telford in even par on his way to victory in the
13-to-15 division of a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Tuesday.
Beck carded a 3-over 75 over the 6,355-yard, par-72 Indian
Valley layout to finish three shots clear of runnerup Davis Flannery of Wayne,
who posted a 78.
Andrew Wallace of Narberth was third with an 80, Griffin
Fall of Yardley took fourth with an 82 and Thomas Butler of Telford and William
Blatchford of Malvern shared fifth place, each carding an 84.
Brandon Gregg and Francis Gregor, both of North Wales,
finished in a tie for seventh at 85. Rounding out the top 10 were three players
– Christian Sarian of Malvern, Jack Murray of Pottstown and Nick Martin of Audubon
– who finished tied for ninth at 86.
Caleb Ryan of Norristown also matched par on the back nine
and had three birdies at Indian Valley on his way to a victory in the 16-to-18
division with a 4-over 76. John Cooper of Lansdale was the runnerup with a 78.
Joseph Centeno of Flourtown and Corbin Babyak of Tafton
finished in a tie for third, each carding a 79. Ryan Kim of Yardley and Bryan
Donato of Chester Springs shared fifth place at 80. Ben Newlon of Wallingford
finished alone in seventh with an 81.
Rounding out the top 10 were three players – Matt Aprile of
Plymouth Meeting, David Hurly of Newtown Square and Andrew Simpson of Perkasie
– who finished tied for eighth at 82.
Allison McFarland of North Wales was the lone entrant in the
girls 16-to-18 division and was the winner with a 100.
Kathleen Mark, a Media resident and Rolling Green Golf Club
member, topped the field in the 13-to-15 division with a 94, earning her first
Junior Tour victory. Mark finished a shot ahead of Jessica McClellan of
Freeland, who posted a 95.
Michelle Cox of Allentown finished third with a 97, Sarah Scarpill
of Warrington took fourth with a 103 and Madilyn Siuta of Quakertown was fifth
with a 106.
Joshua Ryan of Norristown – pretty good bet he’s Caleb’s
younger brother – topped the nine-holers with a 1-over 37. Joshua Ryan’s round
featured an eagle at the par-5 15th as his second shot finished 10
feet from the hole and he drained the putt.
Kevin Lafond of Blue Bell took second with a 45, Maceo
Giampietro of Malvern was third with a 47, Connor Gherghel of Orwigsburg was
fourth with a 49, Collin McDonald of Lower Gwynedd placed fifth with a 52,
Molly Gregor of North Wales was sixth with a 56 and Bret Bergey of Downingtown
ended up in seventh with a 57.
