Scott Hughes of Ambler had the low round of the day while
capturing the 13-to-15 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop
Monday at Bluestone Country Club.
Hughes had a steady round with 12 pars and a birdie at the
17th hole in carding a solid 4-over-par 75 over the 6,565-yard,
par-71 Bluestone layout. Eli Shah of Newtown Square, Paul Brady of
Schwenksville and Connor Ghergel of Orwigsburg each carded a 6-over 77 to share
runnerup honors, two shots behind Hughes.
Team Feraco of Furlong accounted for the tie for fifth place
as Alexander Feraco and Charles Feraco each posted an 81. Connor Cunningham of
Dresher, Thaddeus Griffin of Pipersville and Patrick Maxwell of Exton finished
in a tie for seventh place as each carded an 84.
Rounding out the top 10 were Jack Quinn of Jamison and Aiden
Scott of Harleysville as they ended up in a tie for 10th place, each
signing for an 85.
Methacton junior Jason Rieger claimed the top spot in the
16-to-18 division as he finished with a flourish by making a birdie on the 18th
hole for a 6-over 77. Pennridge junior Brendan Bauer made pars on his last
three holes to finish with a 79 that gave him runnerup honors in the division.
Thomas Larkin of Drexel Hill and Joshua Cicco of Yardley
shared third place, each posting an 81. Blake Stewart of Perkasie and Patrick
Traynor of Villanova were a shot behind Larkin and Cicco in a tie for fifth
place, each posting an 82.
Tyler Kipp, a Class AAA East Regional qualifier as a junior
at Muhlenberg last fall, and a couple of Yardley guys, Christopher Myers and
Will Gerity, each carded an 83 and ended up in a tie for seventh place.
Rounding out the top 10 were Kevin Deng of Newtown Square
and Strath Haven junior Jackson Debusschere as each posted an 84 to finish tied
for 10th place.
The lowest score among the girls who teed it up at Bluestone
also came from the younger 13-to-15 age group as Chaela Barnett of Hatboro had
two birdies in firing a sparkling 7-over 78.
Ava Svindland of Wilmington, Del. parred the first hole and
birdied the third hole and rode that strong start to a 91 that gave her
runnerup honors in the division. Another member of Hatboro’s Team Barnett, Lola
Barnett, took third place with a 93.
Serena Bagga of Blue Bell finished fourth with a 101, Suzie
Ahn of Paoli was fifth with a 102 and Kyleigh Kilpatrick of Philadelphia was
sixth with a 132.
McKylie Boreman of New Cumberland had six pars on her way to
a 91 that bested the field of 16-to-18 competitors. Harriton junior Niosha
Parvizi was the runnerup with a round of 95 that featured three pars.
Josie Genuardi of Kulpsville took third with a 98, Peyton
Kraras of Wyomissing was fourth with a 103 and Alexandra Rasmussen of Lansdale
was fifth with a 114.
Ethan Martin of North Wales and Jax Puskar of Kennett Square
shared top honors among the nine-holers as each carded a 4-over 39. Martin had
five pars in his round and Puskar made six pars.
Sean Curran of Newtown Square had four pars and made a
birdie on the 13th hole in posting a 43 that left him alone in third
place. Hank Kancher of Philadelphia took fourth place with a 44, Jason DiRita
of Media was fifth with a 45 and Liam McFadden of Bryn Mawr was sixth with a
49.
Jake Grossman of Elkins Park and Davis Conaway of West
Chester finished in a tie for seventh as each carded a 54 and Vivian Pernock of
Villanova was ninth with a 66.
