Ryan McCabe of Media captured the 13-to-15 division as the
Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour made a stop at Avalon Golf Club in Cape
May Courthouse, N.J. Tuesday.
McCabe had two birdies and was even-par on the back nine on
his way to a 4-over 75 over the 6,272-yard, par-71 Avalon layout. A brief
shower delayed play, but everyone was able to complete his or her round.
Jackson Putney of Egg Harbor Township, N.J. finished second
with an 85, Kevin Motil of Sewell, N.J. took third with a 94, Benjamin Gulko of
Roaring Brook was fourth with a 95 and Davis McCourt of Philadelphia ended up in
fifth with a 110.
Buddy Hansen IV of Blue Bell took top honors in the 16-to-18
division with a 4-over 75. Hansen had four birdies in his round with three of
the coming on the inward nine. Timothy Lorenzo of Maple Glen was just a shot
back in second with a 76.
Jacob Kraus of Sewell, N.J. finished third with a 79, Andrew
Gallagher of Mount Laurel, N.J. was fourth with an 80 and Germantown Academy
senior Gaven Giampalmi and Cortie Fischer of Villanova finished tied for fifth,
each carding an 85.
Matthew Blumenthal of Chester Springs took seventh with an
86, Griffin Kennedy of Berwyn finished eighth with an 88 and Troy Matty of
Bensalem placed ninth with an 89.
Camille O’Halloran of Northfield, N.J. held off Melissa
Landis of Philadelphia to take the girls 16-to-18 division. O’Halloran posted
an 84, one shot better than the 85 turned in by Landis. Bridget Pyott, who
recently completed her junior year on Notre Dame’s Inter-Ac League championship
team, finished third with an 88.
Among the nine-holers, Jack Davis of Newtown Square finished
first with an 8-over 44. Connor Gherghel of Orwigsburg was the runnerup in the
division with a 52.
Gwendolyn Powell of Madison Township finished third with a
58, Thomas DiGiulio of Sicklerville, N.J. was fourth with a 64 and Jamie
Ciesielka of Woolwich Township, N.J. took fifth with a 74.
