Colby Seislove, a junior on the Spring-Ford golf team, finished his round with three straight birdies to capture a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victory in the 16-to-18 division July 16th with a 3-over-par 74 at Talamore Country Club in Ambler.
Seislove made an early birdie at the second hole and then went off at the end of his round with consecutive birdies at 16, 17 and 18 on his way to a 2-under 34 tour of the incoming nine at Talamore. Seislove had eight pars on his scorecard, six of them on the back nine.
Not sure if there was a weather issue that day at Talamore, but the only results that are available are from the boys 16-to-18 division, so I’ll give you what I have.
Governor Mifflin senior Nate Radwanski, a PIAA Class AAA qualifier last fall, had a steady round with 14 pars on his card, including a run of seven pars in a row from the fifth through the 11th holes, as he finished a shot behind Seislove in second place with a 4-over 75.
A quartet of players finished a shot behind Radwanski in a tie for third place including Boyertown senior Chase Dillman, Perkiomen Valley junior Alexander Hall, Wissahickon senior Ian Yoo and Haverford High junior Kieran Gillespie, all of whom landed on 5-over 76.
Dillman made birdies on the fourth, 13th and 18th holes and had eight pars on his card. Hall, coming off a Philly Junior Tour victory a day earlier at Wilmington Country Club’s North Course, made a birdie to close out each nine at Talamore at the ninth and 18th holes and had nine pars on his card.
Yoo made a birdie on the seventh hole and had 13 pars on his card, including a run of 10 straight pars from the eighth through the 17th holes. Gillespie had a steady round as he had 13 pars on his card, including five straight pars from the seventh through the 11th holes.
Jake Benner, a senior on the Lansdale Catholic golf team, took seventh place, Conestoga junior Chris Sung was eighth with a 78 and Alex Topping of Philadelphia was ninth with an 80.
Zac Devos of Bensalem, Caden Wistreich of Blue Bell and Scott Twilley of Pipersville rounded out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division as they finished in a tie for 10th place, each signing for an 83.
