Hyndman, Dempsey each match par at Ramblewood to share a Philly Junior Tour victory

 

   Logan Hyndman, a Newtown resident and a senior on the golf team at The Pennington School, and David Dempsey of Franklinville, N.J. each matched par with a 72 at Ramblewood Country Club in Mt. Laurel Township, N.J. as they shared the top spot in the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop July 21^st.

   After making a birdie on the fourth hole, Hyndman really heated up on Ramblewood’s incoming nine with birdies at 10, 12 and 15 as he toured the back nine in 2-under 34. Hyndman had 10 pars on his scorecard, including a string of four straight pars from the fifth through the eighth holes.

   Dempsey made birdies at the fourth, seventh and 15^th holes and had 12 pars on his card, including a run of four straight pars from nine through 12.

   Ben Nowland, a junior on the Avon Grove golf team, made birdies at the 11^th, 15^th and 18^th holes and had 11 pars on his card, including five straight pars to open his round, as he took third place with a 1-over 73 that left him a shot behind Hyndman and Dempsey.

   Lucas Keysock of Schwenksville took fourth place with a 74, Brayden Hughes of Hockessin, Del. was fifth with a 75, Vaughn Smartt of Bryn Mawr was sixth with a 77, Evan Hahn of Berlin, Md. was seventh with a 78 and Jaden Irvin, a senior on the Hershey High golf team, was eighth with a 79.

   David Watts of Haddonfield, N.J. took ninth place with an 80 and Bradford Bergstrom of Moorestown, N.J. rounded out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division as he finished 10^th with an 82.

   Mason Kim of Ambler and Connor Bates of Schwenksville shared first place in the 13-to-15 division as each posted a 7-over 79.

   Kim went back-to-back with birdies at the fifth and sixth holes, added another birdie at 15 and had eight pars on his scorecard. Bates started fast with birdies at the first and third holes, added another birdie at 14 and had six pars on his card.

   Thomas Holt IV of Haddonfield, N.J. and Henry Small of Berwyn finished in a tie for third place, each ending up a shot behind Kim and Bates with an 80.

   Holt made a birdie at the first hole and had 10 pars on his card, including a run of four straight pars from 10 through 13. Small had 11 pars on his card, rattling off five straight pars from the third through the seventh holes.

   Declan Mayo of Chadds Ford took fifth place with an 82 and the trio of Mason Arnold, another Ambler guy, Jackson Roy of Marlton, N.J. and Jack Venne of Moorestown, N.J. finished in a tie for sixth, each signing for an 83.

   Rounding out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division was the pair of Chase Fogli of Wayne and Pushkar Vatsavayi of Marlton, N.J. as they finished in a tie for ninth place, each tallying an 84.

   Really strong showing by Emma Cowan of Moorestown, N.J. as she had the best score of the day among the girls, a solid 5-over 77, while capturing a Philly Junior Tour victory in the 13-to-15 division.

   Cowan made birdies at the first, seventh and ninth holes and had nine pars on her scorecard, including a run of five straight pars from 12 through 16.

   Sonia Rosenman, another Moorestown, N.J. entry, rounded out a short field in the 13-to-15 division as she had five pars on her card while earning runnerup honors with a 97.

   Emily Renouf of Cinnaminson, N.J. had eight pars on her scorecard, including consecutive pars at the 14^th, 15^th and 16^th holes, as she claimed a Philly Junior Tour victory in the 16-to-18 division with an 84.

   Chase Venne, another member of Team Venne out of Moorestown, N.J., and the red-hot Niko Muego of Bryn Mawr bested the field of boys 12-and-under nine-holers, each carding a 6-over 42.

    Chase Venne had five pars on his scorecard, including four straight pars to open his round.

   Muego, coming off a four-win week the previous week, had four pars on his card as he got a share of another Philly Junior Tour victory.

   Ryan Scully of Chesterbrook made a par at the second hole as he finished in third place with a 44.

   Kayaan Patel of Mullica Hill, N.J. took fourth place with a 45, Nicky Tomasello of Runnemede, N.J. and Christian Bandoy of Evesham, N.J. shared fifth, each recording a 46, Kamran Patel of Moorestown, N.J. was seventh with a 50 and William Crowell of Cherry Hill, N.J. was eighth with a 55.

    Rounding out the field in the boys 12-and-under division was Kash Gray of Eagleville as he finished in ninth place with a 57.
