Scranton Prep sophomore Jack Pavuk put together a solid 1-over-par 73 to finish atop the leaderboard in the 13-to-15 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli June 3rd.
Pavuk made birdies at the first, 12th and 16th holes and had 11 pars on his scorecard. After starting a little slowly Pavuk went 2-under for the final 13 holes in claiming a two-shot victory among a tough group in the younger division.
Benjamin Robbins of Holland made birdies at the first and seventh holes and also had 11 pars on his card, including a run of six in a row from the 10th through the 15th holes, to earn runnerup honors, two shots behind Pavuk with a 3-over 75.
Frederik Hartmann of Devon made a birdie at the 12th hole and had 13 pars on his card, including eight in a row from the third through the 10th holes, to finish a shot behind Robbins in third place with a solid 4-over 76.
Gus Stoltzfus of Lincoln University took fourth place with a 78, Braydon Dolan of Springfield was fifth with an 80, Gregory Kriz of Oreland was sixth with an 81 and Springfield High sophomore Michael White, was seventh with an 83.
William Thorkelson of Bryn Mawr took eighth place with a 91, Patrick Rode of Broomall was ninth with a 92 and Jacob Rapp of Schwenksville rounded out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division as he finished alone in 10th place with an 85.
John Gavaghan of Ambler made a birdie on the eighth hole and had nine pars on his scorecard as he earned a Philly Junior Tour victory in the 16-to-18 division with an 83.
Ryan Brnich of Glenside had six pars on his card as he finished in second place, three shots behind Gavaghan with an 86.
Rounding out a short field in the 16-to-18 division was Isaac Birdsong of King of Prussia as he had seven pars on his card on his way to an 89 that left him in third place.
Xinyuan Li of Pottstown was the lone entry in the girls 16-to-18 division and she made a birdie on the 12th hole and had eight pars on her scorecard on her way to a solid 81 that gave her a Philly Junior Tour victory.
Marietta Hartmann, another member of Devon’s Team Hartmann, was the lone entry in the 13-to-15 division and she had four pars on her scorecard on her way to a 97 that gave her a Philly Junior Tour victory.
John (Jack) Shea of Harleysville made back-to-back pars on the eighth and ninth holes as he bested a short field of nine-holers with a 51.
Luca Dutton of Springfield rounded out the coed 12-and-under division field by taking second place with a 64.
