Ethan Martin, a North Wales resident and a PIAA Class AAA qualifier as a sophomore at La Salle last fall, had the day’s best score, a 5-over-par 75, as he claimed a victory in the 13-to-15 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior stop Sunday at Indian Spring Golf Course in Marlton, N.J.
Martin made a birdie at the 345-yard, par-4 third hole and had 11 pars on his scorecard over the par-70 Indian Spring layout.
Lucas Albert of Fort Washington made a birdie at the 385-yard, par-4 14th hole and had nine pars on his card as he earned runnerup honors with a 79.
Trevor Sieben of Medford, N.J. made a birdie at the 17th hole and finished with seven pars as he ended up in third place, a shot behind Albert with an 80.
Three players landed on 82 in a tie for fourth place, including Daniel Cantwell of Moorestown, N.J., Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg and Devin Carpenter of Philadelphia.
Daniel Herzchel of Linwood, N.J. and Trey Barkman of West Chester shared seventh place as each posted an 85.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 13-to-15 division were Carson Jakuc of Newtown Square and Paul Reilly of West Creek, N.J. as they finished in a tie for ninth place, each signing for an 86.
Brady Manning, a junior at Downingtown West, made birdies at the sixth and 18th holes and had 10 pars on his scorecard as he earned the victory in the 16-to-18 division with a 6-over 76.
Tyler Blask of Harrisburg had 11 pars on his card and Ben Bodle of Newtown Square had 10 pars as they shared runnerup honors, each carding a 78.
Joey Carr of Ambler and Grayson Jakuc of Newtown Square’s Team Jakuc, finished in a tie for fourth place, each registering an 83.
Joseph Fargnoli of Mickelton, N.J. took sixth place with an 85, David Tervalon of Center Valley was seventh with an 87 and Daniel Shin of Horsham was eighth with an 89.
Kevin Hochenberger of Sewell, N.J. and Garnet Valley senior Matt Pulcinella, a PIAA Class AAA qualifier last fall, rounded out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division as they finished in a tie for ninth place, each signing for a 90.
The best score in the two girls divisions also emerged from the 13-to-15 division as Hannah Webb of Woolwich, N.J. made pars at the sixth and 15th holes on her way to a 94.
Makayla Stone of Garnet Valley earned runnerup honors with a 96 and Rhea Malakar of Flourtown rounded out the 13-to-15 division field as she finished in third place with a 103.
Sehyr Singh of Mount Laurel, N.J. was the lone entry in the 16-to-18 division and captured a Philly Junior Tour victory with a 112 that featured a par at the 10th hole.
Anthony Primo, playing not far from his Marlton, N.J. home, had five pars on his scorecard as he bested the field of nine-holers with a 3-over 38.
Nicholas Fargnoli, another of member of Team Fargnoli of Mickelton, N.J., had five pars on his card as he took second place with a 43. Alaina Carson of Broomall finished a shot behind Nicholas Fargnoli in third place with a 44 that included two pars.
Ruben Yoon of Magnolia, Del. took fourth place with a 45 and David Padgett of Barnegat, N.J. and Judd Fletcher of Moorestown, N.J. finished in a tie for fifth place, each landing on 46.
Ian Rotto of Kennett Square took seventh place with a 47, Jacob Shachar of Sewell, N.J. was eighth with a 48, Thomas Carpenter of Bristol was ninth with a 49 and Anthony Beach of Westville, N.J. rounded out the top 10 in the coed 12-and-under division as he finished alone in 10th place with a 53.
