Jared Foltz of Wyomissing had five birdies while matching par with a 70 to claim a victory in the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Friday at Manor Golf Club in Sinking Spring.
Foltz opened his round with pars on the first five holes of the par-70 Manor layout. Birdies at the seventh and ninth holes enabled Foltz to tour the outgoing nine in 1-under 35. He added birdies at the 14th, 15th and 17th holes.
Aiden Greenberg of Nazareth made birdies at the first and eighth holes and had nine pars on his scorecard as he claimed runnerup honors with a solid 79. Aiden DeMuro of Harrisburg birdied the first hole and had six pars as he finished in third place with an 82.
Jackson Wolff of Malvern was a shot behind DeMuro in fourth place with an 83. Luca Garraffo of Gladwyne rounded out the 16-to-18 field as he ended up in fifth place with a 116.
Nick Linkchorst of Glen Mills had five pars on his scorecard as he posted a 94 to take top honors in the 13-to-15 division. Justin Marcus of Glenmoore was the runnerup with a 103 that featured three pars.
Michael Ciarmoli of Newtown Square rounded out the 13-to-15 field as he parred the 17th hole on his way to a 109 that left him in third place.
The best score among the girls emerged from the 13-to-15 division as Clarissa Leung of Villanova birdied the 15th hole and made four pars in a solid 79 to finish atop the leaderboard. Leung was particularly strong down the stretch, registering a 2-over 36 on Manor’s incoming nine.
Olivia Kury of York had four pars as she rounded out the 13-to-15 field, earning runnerup honors with a 91.
Suzie Ahn of Paoli was the only competitor in the 16-to-18 division and she matched Kury’s 91, making four pars, two on each side.
Lawson Leeper of York birdied the fourth hole and made five pars as he bested a typically strong field of nine-holers with a 2-over 38. Onyu Park of Blue Bell birdied the third hole and had four pars to earn runnerup honors, two shots behind Leeper at 4-over 40.
Ian Larsen of Glenmoore finished his round with a birdie at the ninth hole after making three pars as he took third place with a 41, a shot behind Park. Giula Weisser of Reading was another shot behind Larsen in fourth place with a 42.
William Littleton of Fort Washington took fifth place with a 46, Walker Mannon of Phoenixville was sixth with a 50, Rayan Shah of Newtown was seventh with a 51 and Jia Yan of Malvern was eighth with a 61.
Tara Griscavage of Mechanicsburg finished in ninth place with a 66 and Zheng Yan of Malvern’s Team Yan rounded out the coed 12-and-under field, ending up in 10th place with a 71.
