Bobby Nicholson of York had the best score of the day, a
5-over-par 77, to capture the 13-to-15 age group in a Philadelphia Section PGA
Junior Tour stop at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon County Sunday.
Nicholson finished strong over the 6,349-yard, par-72 Iron
Valley layout, making back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th
holes as everybody’s rain gear got a workout in a steady rain. Joseph Madden of
Oxford was the runnerup with an 80 and Trevor Snyder of Dover took third with
an 83.
Stephane de Brechard of Brooklyn, N.Y. emerged from a
scorecard playoff with top honors in the 16-to-18 division after his 81 was
matched by two other players.
Penn Manor senior Logan Hess, a Class AAA East Regional
qualifier last fall, was awarded runnerup honors and Collin McDonald of Lower
Gwynedd settled for third as Hess and McDonald each came in with an 81.
MMI Prep senior Jessica McClellan, a PIAA Class AA qualifier
last fall, carded an 86 to claim the top spot in the girls 16-to-18 division.
Radnor High’s Jacqueline Slinkard was the runnerup with a 99
and McKylie Boreman of New Cumberland took third with a 100.
Taylor Hicks of Dallastown won top honors in the 13-to-15
division with a 95. Emily McAninch of Mechanicsburg was the runnerup with a 99
and Tristan Groff of Lancaster took third with a 100.
Hunter Probst continued his strong spring as he posted a
solid 5-over 41 to best the field of nine-holers. Mason Tucker of York was the
runnerup with a 44.
Jillian Burks of Paoli won a scorecard playoff with two
other players for third place after she carded a 49. Lawson Leeper of York and
Joey McGinty of Lititz also came in at 49.
