Logan Paczewski of Dallas finished off a sweep of all three
events of the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour’s Junior Golf Scoreboard
SKIMP Pocono Series with a win in the 13-to-15 division in Wednesday’s stop at
Elmhurst Country Club in Roaring Brook Township.
Paczewski had three birdies on his way to a 2-over 74 over
the 6,407-yard, par-72 Elmhurst layout to edge Jordan Pick of Sugarloaf by a
shot as Pick posted a solid 75.
Nate Trout of Greentown finished third with an 81, Martin
Cryan of Forty Fort took fourth with an 83, Tommy Gaudette of Tobyhanna was
fifth with an 84, Benjamin Galko of Roaring Brook was sixth with an 88, Stephen
Cain of Yardley was seventh with an 89 and Michael Hall of Mountain Top checked
in in seventh with a 101.
Combining Paczewski’s 74 Wednesday with the 78 he shot at
The Country Club of Scranton Monday and the 77 he carded Tuesday at Stone Hedge
Country Club gave him a 54-hole total of 229. Cryan (84-80-83) was the runnerup
for the series with a 247 total.
Ryan Keyes of Parsons got out of the gate by going 2-under
in his first four holes on his way to a 78 that gave him the 16-to-18 title at
Elmhurst.
Four players – Corbin Babyak of Tafton, Sebastian Cimoch of
Vandling, Holdan Hitchcock of Laceyville and Timothy Gaudette of Tobyhanna –
shared second place, each carding an 81.
Tyler Marchese of Moscow finished sixth with an 84, Mason
Gattuso of Shavertown and Andrew Benner of Hellertown shared seventh place at
85 and Adam Motovidlak of Harvey’s Lake took ninth with an 86.
Cimoch’s 81, combined with his 80 at The Country Club of
Scranton and his spectacular 72 at Stone Hedge, gave him the series title in
the division with a 233 total. Keyes (81-76-78) made a run at Cimoch, but
finished just two shots back in second at 235.
Sophie Mancuso won the girls 16-to-18 title with an 89. Sara
Hall of Mountain Top was the runnerup with a 107.
Hall was the only 16-to-18 girl to complete all three stops
on the series, adding a 112 at The Country Club of Scranton and a 104 at Stone
Hedge to her 107 at Elmhurst for a 323 total.
Lauren Golden took top honors in the 13-to-15 division with
a 90, one shot better than runnerup Morgan Sohosky of Bloomsburg, who had a 91.
Jessica McClellan of Freeland finished with a 99 and Audrey
Schuebel and Amanda Schuebel, both of King of Prussia, finished fourth and
fifth, respectively, with rounds of 122 and 135, respectively.
Sohosky was the series winner as her 91 at Elmhurst,
combined with a 93 at The Country Club of Scranton and an 88 at Stone Hedge,
gave her a 272 total.
Among the nine-holers, William Pabst of Roaring Brook
completed a series sweep with his third straight 39, this one 3-over par.
Michael Maslanka of Taylor was the runnerup with a 41.
Maxwell Wager of State College finished third with a 44,
Benjamin Sohosky of Bloomsburg took fourth with a 46, and James Fickinger of
Clarks Summit was fifth with a 47.
Gwendolyn Powell of Madison Township placed sixth with a 51,
Brett Strong of Hawley took seventh with a 54, Lorenzo Domiano of Clarks Summit
was eighth with a 65 and Anastasia Galko of Roaring Brook was ninth with a 66.
Pabst, who added his 39 at Elmhurst to a 39 at The Country
Club of Scranton and a 39 at Stone Hedge, took the series title with a 117
total. Maslanka (41-45-43) was the runnerup with a 129 total.
