Noah Wallace of Elkton, Md. had the best round of the day at Back Creek Golf Club in Middletown, Del., a sparkling 2-over-par 73, to finish at the top of the leaderboard in the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Monday.
Wallace made birdies at the fifth and 12th holes and had 13 pars on his scorecard on his way to the victory. Wallace’s birdie at the 12th hole got him to 2-under for the round as he had made 10 pars and the two birdies.
Nick Belgrade of Wilmington, Del. and Adam Zink of Dover, Del. were nine shots behind Wallace in a tie for second place among the older guys, each posting an 82.
Belgrade had 11 pars on his card while Zink made birdies on the seventh, 11th and 18th holes and had six pars on his card.
Dylan Everett, playing close to his Middletown, Del. home, finished a shot behind Belgrade and Zink in fourth place with an 83. Rudy Mench of Wilmington, Del. took fifth with an 85, Braden Davis, another Elkton, Md. entry, was sixth with an 87, Darius Laws, another Wilmington, Del. guy, was seventh with a 92 and Brandon Kristovich of North East, Md. was eighth with a 93.
Rounding out the field in the 16-to-18 division was Landon Fox of Wilmington, Del. as he finished in ninth place with a 94.
Quinten Joiner of Millington, Md. made birdies at the third, fourth, 12th and 16th holes and had six pars on his scorecard as he came away with a Philly Junior Tour victory in the 13-to-15 division with a 7-over 78.
Brendan Schott of Wilmington, Del. had 11 pars on his card as he finished in second place, two shots behind Joiner with an 80. Another Wilmington, Del. entry, Luke LaScala, had seven pars on his card as he finished in third place with an 84.
Yet another Wilmington, Del. entry, Henry Nowak, took fourth place with an 85. Gus Stoltzfus of Lincoln University took fifth place with an 86, Wyatt Cudmore of Elkton, Md. was sixth with an 89 and Gage Fedely of Havertown was seventh with a 95.
Rounding out the field in the 13-to-15 division was Ryan Kelly of Harleysville as he finished alone in eighth place with a 98.
Lydia Bernardi of Sewell, N.J. was the only player to tee it up in one of the girls divisions and she made four pars on her way to a 91 that gave her a Philly Junior Tour victory in the 13-to-15 division.
Lucas Solano of Vineland, N.J. bested the field of nine-holers as he had four pars on his scorecard on his way to a 6-over 41.
Preston Minio of Lansdale had three pars on his card as he recorded an 8-over 43 to finish two shots behind Solano and earn runnerup honors. Patrick Thomas of Hockessin, Del. had two pars on his card as he finished a shot behind Minio in third place with a 44.
Rounding out the field in the coed 12-and-under division field was Theodore Diamond of Lutherville-Timonium, Md., who finished a shot behind Thomas in fourth place with a 45.
