It's a good day for Team Feraco in Junior Tour stop at Bella Vista

Central Bucks West junior Alex Feraco carded a solid 4-over-par 74 to capture the 16-to-18 division as the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour enjoyed a spectacular fall Saturday at Bella Vista Golf Course in Gilbertsville.

It was a pretty good day for C.B. West’s Team Feraco as sophomore Charles Feraco earned a tie for second-place in the 13-to-15 division with a 6-over 76 that left him a shot behind Noah Moeller of Doylestown among the younger guys and two shots behind Alex Feraco in the battle for low-Feraco.

Alex Feraco had three birdies on his scorecard in capturing the victory among the older guys. Strath Haven senior Jackson Debusschere, coming off a tie for fifth place in the Central League Championship at Downingtown Country Club, claimed runnerup honors with a 5-over 75.

Debusschere opened his round by making eight straight pars while going 1-over on Bella Vista’s outgoing nine and had a pair of birdies in a roller-coaster back nine.

Downingtown East senior Dylan Gute birdied the ninth hole on his way to an 81 that left him alone in third place. Gunnar Wegschelder of Boyertown and Owen Wisner of Reading shared fourth place, each registering an 82.

J.R. McMenamin of Pottstown and Garrett Wible of Royersford finished in a tie for sixth place, each posting an 84. Owen J. Roberts junior Victor Mominey finished alone in eighth place with an 85. Marple Newtown senior Nick DiPinto, who took third place in the Central Championship at Downingtown, took ninth place with an 86.

Rounding out the top 10 in the 16-to-18 division were Jonathan Seiforth of Schwenksville and Downingtown East junior Jake Leon, both of whom carded an 88 to finish in a tie for 10th place.

Moeller had three birdies on his scorecard on his way to medalist honors in the 13-to-15 division. Charles Feraco had birdies at the third and 17th holes as he shared second place with Noah Wallace of Elkton, Md., each landing on 6-over 76. Wallace’s round was highlighted by a birdie at the eighth hole.

Luke Fazio of Schwenksville took fourth place with a 77, Shaun Mazzulupi of Wayne was fifth with a 79 and William Aprahamian of West Chester and Jake Blackmore of Pottstown shared sixth, each signing for an 81.

Anthony Carson of Broomall finished alone in eighth place with an 83, Brady Gallagher of Quakertown was ninth with an 87 and Landon Heisey of Hummelstown rounded out the top 10 among the younger guys as he carded a 90 to finish alone in 10th.

The low score among the girls at Bella Vista came out of the 13-to-15 age group as Sophia DeSantis of Glen Mills had four pars, including a run of three in a row at the 15th, 16th and 17th holes, on her way to an 89.

Sophia Branca of Warrington had two pars as she claimed runnerup honors among the younger girls with a 95. Alessia DeMatteo of Gladwyne had three pars as she took third place with a 97 and Makayla Stone of Garnet Valley rounded out the 13-to-15 field by finishing fourth with a 101.

West Chester Rustin’s Mary Emma Guldi birdied the seventh hole and made three straight pars down the stretch at the 14th, 15th and 16th holes to earn a one-shot victory in the 16-to-18 division with a 90. Meredith Beyer of Avondale had three pars as she earned runnerup honors with a 91.

Conestoga junior Sophia Brubaker made a par on the 17th hole as she finished in third place with a 97. Carly Gavant of Hoboken, N.J. rounded out the 16-to-18 field as she carded a 109 to finish alone in fourth place.

Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg made a birdie on the second hole and had four pars as he registered a 3-over 38 to best the field of nine-holers. Lawson Leeper of York was just a shot behind Proud in second place with a 4-over 39 that featured a birdie at the fifth hole and four pars.
