Jack Ross of Medford Lakes, N.J. fired a solid 2-over-par 74
Sunday to claim the top spot in the 13-to-15 age group in a Philadelphia
Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Buena Vista Country Club in Buena, N.J.
Ross, who was a Junior Tour winner last month at Indian
Spring Country Club, had four birdies over the 6,429-yard, par-72 Buena Vista
layout to finish two shots ahead of runnerup Adam McMillan of Cranbury, N.J.,
who carded a solid 4-over 76.
Tyler Zimmerman of Bryn Mawr finished third, a shot behind
McMillan with a 77 and Jackson Debusschere of Wallingford, coming off a Junior
Tour win Saturday at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club, was fourth with an 81.
Jordan Han of Mahwah, N.J. and Kevin Motil of Sewell, N.J.
shared fifth place, each posting an 84. Tyler Smith of Maple Shade, N.J.
finished seventh with an 85 and Julien de Brechard of Brooklyn, N.Y. was eighth
with an 86.
Rounding out the top 10 was a logjam among four players –
Brendan Meagher of Swedesboro, N.J., Kendell Gordon of Burlington Township,
N.J., Ryan Rearden of Yardley, and Winston Kelenc-Blank of Rumson, N.J. – all
of whom carded an 87.
Calen Sanderson of Skillman, N.J. made three birdies in
fashioning a 4-over 76 that gave him a victory in the 16-to-18 division, his
third Junior Tour win of the season. Christopher D’Alessandro of Waretown, N.J.
was the runnerup, a shot behind Sanderson with a 77.
Jeremy Harper of Mountain Top finished third with a 78, Liam
Caspar of Williamstown, N.J. was fourth with an 80 and Ryan Kennedy of Wayne
was fifth with an 81.
Sean Caspar, another member of Williamstown’s Team Caspar,
shared sixth place with another Williamstown entry, Tyler Geatens, and Bryan
Donato of Chester Springs, each carding an 85. Stephane de Brechard, another
member of Team de Brechard from Brooklyn, finished ninth with an 86 and Colton
Murray of Sewell, N.J. rounded out the top 10 with an 87.
Olivia Wirsching, a sophomore on Mount St. Joseph’s District
One Class AAA championship team last fall, earned her first Junior Tour
victory, claiming the top spot in the girls 16-to-18 division with a 95. Marple
Newtown sophomore Gillyoung Koh was the runnerup with a 99.
The best round of the day among the girls belonged to
Angelina Tolentino of Mount Laurel, N.J., who continued her strong play on the
Junior Tour by winning the 13-to-15 division with an 82. Olivia Strigh of
Hammonton, N.J. was the runnerup with an 89.
Addi Mann of Cherry Hill, N.J. finished third with a 91,
Abigail Lynn of Furlong, coming off a Junior Tour win Saturday at Chesapeake
Bay, was fourth with a 94 and Stefania Fedun of Glenmoore was fifth with a 96.
In the increasingly competitive group of nine-holers, Daniel
Shin of Horsham had to post a 2-over 38 to earn his third win of the season.
Michael Maslanka of Taylor wasn’t far behind, taking runnerup honors with a
3-over 39.
Nicholas Gross of Downingtown finished third with a 40 and
John Keba of Emmaus was fourth with a 41. Gross and Keba went 1-2,
respectively, among the nine-holers in Saturday’s stop at Chesapeake Bay.
Another member of Downingtown’s Team Gross, Evan, shared
fifth place with Tommy Marshall of Marlton, N.J., each posting a 45. Justin
Forman of Sewell, N.J. finished seventh with a 48 and Elora Walker of Philadelphia
was eighth with a 51.
Tyler Debusschere, another member of Wallingford’s Team
Debusschere, finished ninth with a 52 and Emily Mayo of Boothwyn rounded out
the top 10 with a 56.
