Marple Newtown senior Joey Del Franco figures to be one of
the top individual players in the Central League and his play in the
Philadelphia PGA Junior Tour shows that.

snuck in a trip to Spring-Ford Country Club Monday and made it a winning one as
his 6-over 78 topped the 16-to-18 division. Thomas Schafer of Collegeville also
had a 78, but Del Franco won the title on a match of cards. Del Franco’s back
nine of even-par 36, which included a pair of birdies, made the difference.

3-over 75, to take top honors in the 13-to-15 division.
Matthew Barkann of Newtown Square finished in a tie for
fourth with an 82. Andrew Curran, a Media resident and Overbrook Golf Club
member, and Jack Hamilton of Wayne finished in a tie for sixth with 83s. Curran
is a freshman at Malvern Prep. Dolan Cox
of Newtown Square finished in a tie for eighth with a 90 and James Quinn of
Radnor finished 13th with a 98.
