Moravian Academy's Schreiber gets in a groove at Southmoore to claim a Philly Junior Tour victory

 

   Moravian Academy junior Collin Schreiber, playing out of the younger 13-to-15 division, put together a solid 1-over-par 72 at Southmoore Golf Course in Bath, Northampton County July 19th to claim a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victory.

   Schreiber, a Kunkletown resident and a PIAA Class AA qualifier last fall, made birdies at the second, fourth, eighth and 11th holes and had nine pars on his scorecard. The three birdies on Southmoore’s outgoing nine enabled Schreiber to tour that side in 2-under 34.

   Tyler Baritz of Blue Bell had 14 pars on his card, finishing up his round with six straight pars, as he earned runnerup honors with a 4-over 75.

   Michael Darcy of Fort Washington and Evan Walters V of Emmaus were another shot behind Baritz in a tie for third place, each posting a 76.

   Darcy made a birdie on the ninth hole and had 12 pars on his card while Walters made a birdie at eight and had 11 pars on his card.

   Ryan Kelly of Harleysville took fifth place with an 82, Michael Venneri of Devon was sixth with an 84, Aidan Greenberg of Wayne was seventh with an 85, Neil Ray of West Chester was eighth with a 95 and Charlie Jones of Villanova was ninth with a 97.

   Braydon Holland of Haverford took 10th place with a 99 and Ethan Livoisi of Newtown rounded out the field in the 13-to-15 division as he finished 11th with a 101.

   Donato Stridacchio, a senior on the Central Bucks East golf team, and Caden Wistreich, a junior on the Wissahickon golf team, shared the top spot in the 16-to-18 division as each registered a 4-over 75.

   Stridacchio made a birdie on the seventh hole and had 12 pars on his scorecard, including six straight pars from the ninth through the 14th holes. Wistreich made birdies on the second, seventh and 13th holes and had 10 pars on his card.

   Alexander Hall, a junior on the Perkiomen Valley golf team, made birdies on the ninth and 15th holes and had 11 pars on his card as he finished a shot behind Stridacchio and Wistreich in third place with a 5-over 76. Hall had claimed a Philly Junior Tour victory earlier in the week at Wilmington Country Club’s North Course.

   Ryan Anderson, a recent Penncrest graduate, took fourth place with a 78, Ryan DeLong of Allentown was fifth with an 80, Brady Bellew of Newtown Square was sixth with an 81 and Kasimere McManus of Quakertown was seventh with an 87.

   Michael Doyle of Haddonfield, N.J. took eighth place with a 98 and Ryan Marsh of Coatesville rounded out the field in the 16-to-18 division as he finished in ninth place with a 101.

   Bryce Bussom of Lewisburg made birdies on the fourth and sixth holes and had four pars on his scorecard, including three straight pars to close out his round, as he bested the field of nine-holers with a 1-over 37.

   Aiden Jose of Brick, N.J. had four pars on his card as he earned runnerup honors with a 6-over 42.

   Conner Masulis of Pottstown and Jack Gilbert of Bryn Mawr finished in a tie for third place as each tallied a 43 that left them a shot behind Jose.

   Masulis made a birdie on the fourth hole and had three pars while Gilbert made a birdie at seven and added a par at the first.

   Steven Musacchio of Glenmoore took fifth place with a 44, Samuel Karas of Blue Bell was sixth with a 46, Bobby Stefanski of Newtown Square was seventh with a 49 and Claire Malbacho of Haverford was eighth with a 50.

   Rylan Foust of Exton and Zheng Yan of Malvern shared ninth place, each registering a 53 and Antonella Ferrer of Wynnewood rounded out the field in the coed 12-and-under division, finishing 11th with a 56.
