Weisman a Junior Tour winner at Patriots Glen



   Jaden Weisman of Malvern carded a 3-over 75 to claim the top spot in the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Saturday at Patriots Glen National Golf Club in Elkton, Md.
   Weisman birdied the par-3 11th on his way to the winning score over the 6,380-yard, par-72 Patriots Glen layout. Weisman finished a shot ahead of Thomas Butler of Telford, who birdied the 18th hole to punctuate a 4-over 76.
   Timothy Chaykosky Jr. of Ambler finished third with a 77, Maxwell Rubin of Marlton, N.J. took fourth with a 79, Ryan McHugh of Yorklyn, Del. was fifth with an 82 and Hunger Tollinger of Chesapeake City, Md. was sixth with an 83.
   Alec Ryden of Moorestown, N.J. and Nikita Romanov of Wilmington, Del. shared seventh place, each posting an 84.  Rounding out the top 10 were Frankie Markiewicz of Middletown, Del. and Ian Bucci, both of whom finished in a tie for ninth at 85.
   In the 13-to-15 division, Patrick Laushall of Morrisville emerged from a scorecard playoff with the victory after his 79 was matched by Dylan Gooneratne of Plymouth Meeting and David Fitzgerald Jr. of Bryn Mawr. Laushall had a birdie on the par-4 eighth hole, but it was his 3-over 39 on the back nine that decided the outcome.
   Jacob Sokalsky of Garnet Valley and Jake Rabner of Pittsburgh finished in a tie for fourth at 82. Nathan Lutz of Middletown, Del. took sixth with an 86.
   Jack Fialko of Berwyn placed seventh with a 90, Peter Banfe of Moorestown, N.J. was eighth with a 92, Kristoffer Mollung of Middletown, Del. was ninth with a 93 and Dimitri Collias of King of Prussia rounded out the top 10, taking 10th with a 97.
   Holly Quickel of Middletown, Del. got it going in the middle of her round, making four birdies in a nine-hole stretch, as she fired a 78 to take the girls’ 16-to-18 division.
   Grace Lombardi of Bear, Del. was the runnerup with a 100, April Xu of Southampton took third with a 101 and Isobel Moyer of Magnolia, Del. was fourth with a 123.
   Elizabeth Beek of Blue Bell made an eagle on the par-5 17th hole on her way to an 87 that gave her the top spot in the 13-to-15 division. Beek needed that eagle to edge runnerup Lily Yang of West Chester, who posted an 88, by a shot.
   Grace Lu of Edison, N.J. finished third with a 100 and Eden Richmond of Princeton, N.J. was fourth with aw 104.
   Among the nine-holers, John Wang of Wilmington, Del. was an impressive winner with a 1-under 35 that included three straight birdies at six, seven and eight. Claire Lu of Edison, N.J. was the runnerup with a 45.
   Kristof Kopecky of Garnet Valley and Matthew Pulcinella of Chadds Ford finished in a tie for third, each posting a 47. Will Slavik of Middletown, Del. and Aaron Skii of West Chester shared fifth place, each carding a 48.
   Three players – Nathan Guertler of Merchantville, N.J., Charlie Hurchalla of Wallingford and Justin Kang of Garnet Valley – shared seventh place at 50. Sawyer Brockstedt of Rehoboth, Del. rounded out the top 10, finishing alone in 10th at 52.
