For Lehighton’s Tyler Hager, Sunday’s Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Riverview Country Club in Easton was special in a lot of ways.
First of all, Hager’s tee shot at the 130-yard fourth hole with a 54-degree wedge found the bottom of the cup for a hole-in-one. On top of that, Hager had six birdies on his scorecard with birds at the first, seventh, eighth, 10th, 16th and 18th holes.
It all added up to a 2-over-par 74 over the par-72 Riverview layout that gave Hager a victory in the 16-to-18 division. Michael Maslanka of Taylor had four birdies of his own at the third, seventh, 10th and 18th holes as he finished a shot behind Hager in second place with a 3-over 75.

The low score of the day was turned in by Michael Vital of Bethlehem’s twin Vital brothers as he had birdies at the third and seventh holes and 13 pars on his scorecard as he finished atop the 13-to-15 leaderboard with a 1-over 73. Vital made nine straight pars from the ninth through the 17th holes.
Charlie Ferrise of Phoenixville birdied the seventh hole and had 11 pars on his card as he earned runnerup honors with a 7-over 79, six shots behind Vital. Aiden Farkas of Ardmore had 10 pars as he ended up two shots behind Ferrise in third place with an 81.

The best score of the day among the girls came out of the 13-to-15 division as Season Wei of Warren, N.J., who has been having a strong spring on the Philly Junior Tour, birdied the seventh hole and had nine pars, including four straight to finish her round, as she carded an 82 to claim the victory.

Carly Gavant of Hoboken, N.J. was the lone entrant in the 16-to-18 division and registered a 95 that included a birdie at the seventh hole and two pars.
Jason Mack of Delaware Water Gap completed a weekend sweep in the coed 12-and-under division as he had a birdie on the seventh hole and made four pars on his way to a 3-over 39 that bested the field of nine-holers. Mack had won the division with an even-par 36 in Saturday’s Philly Junior Tour stop at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon.
Anthony Proud of Stroudsburg birdied the fourth and eighth holes as he claimed runnerup honors with a 4-over 40, a shot behind Mack. Wyatt Underwood of Telford had five pars, including four straight from the fifth through the eighth holes, as he finished a shot behind Proud in third place with a 41.
