McCabe claims second straight Junior Tour win at Blue Bell

Ryan McCabe of Media made it two Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour victories in as many days in a stop at Blue Bell Country Club Wednesday that was slowed down by a two-and-a-half hour rain and lightning delay.
The weather didn’t bother McCabe, who carded a 3-over 74 over the 6,478-yard, par-71 Blue Bell layout to take top honors in the 13-to-15 division. Stephen Lorenzo of Lower Gwynedd finished second, two shots back of McCabe with a 76.
Aj Aivazoglou of Glen Mills finished third with a 78, Andrew Curran, a Media resident and Malvern Prep sophomore, was fourth with a 79, Francis Gregor of Media took fifth with an 80, Jeffery Bozzi of Newtown Square placed sixth with an 82 and Davis Flannery of Wayne finished seventh with an 84.

Buddy Hansen IV of Blue Bell was right at home in carding a 1-under 70 to capture the 16-to-18 division. Hansen was consistent with two birdies against a lone bogey on his card. J.T. Spina of Schwenksville took second with a 2-over 73.
Michael Sydnes, who helped Radnor capture District One and PIAA team titles in Class AAA last fall, shared third place with Caleb Ryan of Norristown, each carding a 4-over 75.    Michael DeColli of Pottsville finished alone in eighth place with an 80. Rounding out the top 10 were Colin Johnston of Chalfont and Alex Parlanti of Collegeville, who finished in a tie for ninth, each posting an 81.
Recently crowned Inter-Ac League champion Meghan Fahey bested the field in the girls 16-to-18 division with a 79. Fahey, who will be a senior at Notre Dame in the fall, was 1-over on the front nine before falling back a little following the rain delay. Amanda Hocker of Warminster was the runnerup with a 97 and Ryan Doherty of Philadelphia took third with a 98.
Christina Carroll of Bear, Del. won the 13-to-15 division with an 88. Olivia Wirsching of Blue Bell and Madilyn Siuta of Quakertown finished in a tie for second, eaching carding a 110. Caroline McFadden of Perekasie finished fourth with a 131.
