Park's 38 at Flourtown is a winner in Junior Tour Nine-Hole Series stop

The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour’s coed 12-and-under division again had the stage to itself for the second stop on the Nine-Holers Series Friday at Flourtown Country Club.

And it was Onyu Park of Blue Bell who was the star of the show, making a birdie on the fourth hole and adding five pars to top a very competitive field with a 3-over-par 38.

Ian Rotto of Kennett Square kept the pressure on as he made five pars to finish a shot behind Park in second place with a 4-over 39. Alex DiGiacinto of Nazareth had six pars on his scorecard as he took third place with a 41.

Henry Sokol of Villanova and Winston Chew of Exton ended up in a tie for fourth place, each signing for a 43.

Max Davis of Newtown Square took sixth place with a 45 and Preston Minio of Lansdale and Dane Mohap, another one of the Nazareth crew that has been making a lot of noise in the coed 12-and-under division this summer, finished in a tie for seventh place, each landing on 46.

Jack Sokol, another member of Villanova’s Team Sokol, took ninth place with a 47 and Cian Mahoney of Middletown, Del. rounded out the top 10 at Flourtown by finishing alone in 10th with a 49.
