Wagner claims a Junior Tour win at Woodstone



   Brett Wagner of Cresco birdied two of the par-3s on his way to a 7-over-par 79 to win the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Wednesday at the Woodstone Country Club & Lodge in Danielsville.
   Andrew Benner of Hellertown and Jordan Pick of Sugarloaf shared runnerup honors, each carding an 82 over the 6,428-yard, par-72 Woodstone layout.
   Jacob Aaron of Harrisburg finished fourth with an 84, Colin Kear of Doylestown was fifth with a 94 and Mason Asadoorian of Richboro was sixth with a 100.
   Corey Haydu of Doylestown carded an 88 to win the 13-to-15 division for his first career Junior Tour victory. Grey Konta of Hummelstown was the runnerup with a 114.
   Shea Murphy of Goldey-Beacom College and Wilmington, Del. was the only player to tee it up the men’s 17-to-24 division and thus was the winner with an 80. A birdie at third hole highlighted his round.
   Olivia Patrow of East Stroudsburg extended her Junior Tour winning streak to four straight as she took the girls 16-to-18 division with a 101. Elaina McGarrigle of Wernersville was a shot behind Patrow in second with a 102.
   Grace Babinchak of Hazleton was the ony girl to  tee it up in the 13-to-15 and claimed the win with a 104.
   Connor Gherghel of Orwigsburg bested the field of nine-holers making a birdie on his second hole on his way to a 7-over 43. Griffin Walizer of McElhattan was the runnerup with a 56.
   Rhianna Gooneratne of Plymouth Meeting finished third with a 64 and Aaron Combs of Basking Ridge, N.J. was fourth with a 65.
