J.T. Spina of Schwenksville got it going on the back nine
Tuesday to win the 16-to-18 division in a Golf Association of Philadelphia
Junior Tour stop at Woodstone Country Club & Lodge in Danielson.
Spina had four birdies, including three in a five-hole
stretch on the back nine at the 6,428-yard, par-72 Woodstone layout, to card a
3-over 75 and claim the top spot in the division. Matthew Davis of Doylestown
birdied three of the four par-5s at Woodstone to finish second with a 78.
Chase Armor of Limerick and Timothy Chaykosky Jr. of Ambler
finished in a tie for third, each posting an 80. Nathaniel Hiriak of Doylestown
took fifth with an 81, Nick Kuhn of Lansdale was sixth with an 82, Corbin
Babyak of Tafton was seventh with an 85, Adam Motovidlak of Harvey’s Lake was
eighth with an 87 and Timonty Gaudette of Tobyhanna was ninth with an 88. Jack
LaRosa of Bristol and Jake Butler of Lafayette Hill rounded out the top 10 as
they tied for 10th with 89s.
Jordan Pick of Surgarload won the 13-to-15 division in a
match of cards with Dylan Lasecki of Lansdale after each carded an 87. Pick’s
back-nine 40, which included birdies on both par-5s, was the difference.
Daniel Kovacevich of Newtown took third with an 88, Tommy
Gaudette of Tobyhanna and Stephen Cain of Yardley shared fourth, each carding a
91, Davis McCourt of Philadelphia and Matthew Lafond of Blue Bell were tied for
sixth at 92, and Owen Heffernen of New Hope and Matthew Fleming of Richboro
ended up in a tie for eighth at 93. Rounding out the top 10 were Christian
Siaton of Phoenixville and Colin Kear of Doylestown, who finished tied for 10th
at 104.
William Pabst Jr. of Roaring Brook Township topped the field
of nine-holers with a 5-over 41. Connor Gherghel of Orwigsburg finished second
with a 46, William Huntley of Lansdale was third with a 48 and Kevin Lafond of
Blue Bell was fourth with a 53.
Joseph Markmann of Doylestown fired a 79 to take top honors
in the men’s 17-to-24 division. Jeff Perdoch of Reading was a shot back in
second with an 80 and Andy Ring of Abington took third with an 85.
Annalia Kostow of Abington was the women’s 17-to-24 division
with a 93. Keira Cooney of Glenmoore finished second with a 129.
