Curran's 77 makes him a Junior Tour winner at Buena Vista



   Andrew Curran, who helped Malvern Prep claim the Inter-Ac League title as a freshman last fall, took top honors in the 13-to-15 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Buena Vista Country Club in Buena, N.J. Saturday.
   Curran, a Media resident who plays out of Overbrook Golf Club, carded a 5-over 77 that featured a birdie on the 6,443-yard, par-72 Buena Vista layout’s par-5 third hole to give him a one-shot edge over Davis Flannery of Wayne, who had a 78.
   Ryan D’Ariano of West Chester finished third with a 79, Stephen Lorenzo of Lower Gwynedd was fourth with an 80 and Hayden Moffat of Hatboro and Alec Ryden of Moorestown, N.J. shared fifth place, each carding an 81.
   Morgan Lofland of Paoli and Christopher Dul of Levittown tied for seventh at 84 and three players – Jeffery Buzzi of Newtown Square, Andrew Wallace of Narberth and Kevin Motil of Sewell, N.J. -- rounded out the top 10 in a tie for ninth at 88.
   J.T. Spina of Schwenksville had the day’s best round, a 2-over 74 that included a birdie and two bogeys, to capture the 16-to-18 division. Caleb Ryan of Norristown was the runnerup with a solid 77.
Jake Dolan of Marlton, N.J. and Jordan Torres of Medford, N.J. shared third place, each posting an 81, and Timothy Chaykosky Jr. of Ambler grabbed fifth place with an 82.
   Christopher Warner of Medford, N.J. and Matthew Davis of Doylestown tied for sixth place at 83, Frederick Hammer of Wayne and Casey Carson of Wenonah, N.J. shared eighth place with 84s and Patrick Carney of Manchester, N.J. finished out the top 10 with an 85.
   Chichester junior Caprian Kan was unopposed in the girls 16-to-18 division and her solid 81 resulted in her seventh win of the 2015-16 Junior Tour season.
   Cristea Park of Blue Bell captured the 13-to-15 division with a 91. Grace Enright of Doylestown finished second with a 96 and Olivia Strigh of Hammonton, N.J. took third with a 97.
   Joshua Ryan of Norristown was an impressive winner among the nine-holers, firing a 1-under 35. Darren Nolan of Glenside was the runnerup with a 41.
   Henry Fish of Malvern finished third with a 42, Christopher Buysse of Paoli was fourth with a 43 and Zachary Sandler of Gladwyne placed fifth with a 44.
   Brendan Meagher of Swedesboro, N.J. and Victoria Kim of West Chester shared sixth, each carding a 47, Ajeet Bagga of Blue Bell was alone in eighth place with a 48 and T.J. Robertson of Fort Washington and Ryan Garvey of Media each signed for a 54 to round out the top 10 in a tie for ninth.
