Brooklyn's de Brechard claims Junior Tour victory with an 80 at Heidelberg

Julien de Brechard hit the road from Brooklyn for Bernville, Berks County Sunday and emerged with the best score of the day and a victory in the 13-to-15 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop at Heidelberg Country Club.
De Brechard made an eagle on the par-5 ninth hole and had two pars in a round of 10-over-par 80 over the 6,282-yard, par-70 Heidelberg layout.
Strath Haven freshman Tyler Debusschere had three pars as he claimed runnerup honors with an 87. Debusschere, a District One Class AAA qualifier, helped the Panthers win their first Central League title. Although he was not among the starting five for the district team competition, Debusschere certainly had a hand in a Strath Haven campaign that produced a District One Class AAA team crown last week at Turtle Creek Golf Club.
Connor Toussaint of Lansdale finished third with a 90, Ajeet Bagga of Blue Bell was third with a 91, Jonathan Seifarth of Schwenksville was fifth with a 95 and Evan Jozwiak of Sinking Spring was sixth with a 104.
Eric Miller, a District One Class AAA qualifier as a sophomore at West Chester Rustin this fall, had four pars on the outgoing nine on his way to an 84 that gave him a victory in the 16-to-18 division.
Noah Kim of Royersford was the runnerup with an 88 and Ryan Reed of Manheim took third place with a 120.
Meredith Beyer of Avondale was the only girl to tee it up at Heidelberg and claimed a win in the 13-to-15 division with a 115.
Chase Mitstifer of Sinking Spring made a birdie on the first hole and added two pars on his way to a 15-over 49 that bested the field of nine-holers. Michael Liu of Garnet Valley was the runnerup with a 58.
