Shin's 74 at Flourtown earns him Philadelphia Junior PGA 12-and-under championship

There is no national PGA Junior Championship for the 12-and-under set that plays nine holes at most Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stops, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be a Philadelphia Junior PGA 12-and-under Championship.
For the championship, the normal nine-hole format was stretched out to 18 holes at Flourtown Country Club, a challenging 5,427-yard, par-70 test for the younger kids.
Daniel Shin of Horsham had four birdies and an eagle Friday to win the title with a 4-over 74. BagBoy sponsored the event and the victory also meant Shin went home with a BagBoy Quad XL push cart.
Michael Maslanka of Taylor was the runnerup with a 78 and George Deming of Philadelphia took third with an 83.
The Graham Company is the title sponsor of the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour.
