Romanov, Thomas are Junior Tour winners at LedgeRock



   Nikita Romanov of Wilmington, Del. and Win Thomas of Unionville have been two of the most consistent players on the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour all summer and it was more of the same Friday as they each carded an even-par 72 at LedgeRock Golf Club in Mohnton, Berks County to capture their respective divisions.
   Romanov had three birdies in matching par on the tough 6,241-yard, par-72 LedgeRock layout to capture the top spot in the 16-to-18 division. Zak Summy of Media and Jaden Weisman of Malvern finished tied for second, three shots behind Romanov at 3-over 75.
   Patrick Carney of Manchester N.J. finished fourth with an 80, Deion Shepherd of Dayton, N.J. was fifth with an 81 and Frank Rauscher of Wayne was sixth with an 82.
   Cole Shew of West Chester and William Blatchford of Malvern finished tied for seventh, each posting an 83, Christopher Bannon of Philadelphia was ninth with an 85 and Samuel Bertrando of West Chester rounded out the top 10 with an 89.
   Thomas made four birdies in matching par at LedgeRock to capture top honors in the 13-to-15 division. Luke Watson of Royersford was the runnerup with a 74.
   Jake Maddaloni of Newtown Square finished third with a 75 and three players – John Bradbeer of Bryn Mawr, Nicholas Ciocca of Devon and Jack Davis of Newtown Square – shared fourth place, each carding a 77.
   Connor Gherghel of Orwigsburg finished seventh with a 80, Kevin Deng of Devon and James Ulsh of Carlisle shared eighth place at 83 and Jack Fialko of Berwyn and Graham Calhoun of Lititz rounded out the top 10 as they finished tied for 10th at 84.
   Grace Hickey of Downingtown carded an 88 to win the girls 16-to-18 title, her second Junior Tour victory of the season. Faith Rule, also of Downingtown, was the runnerup with a 104.
   The best score of the day among the girls belonged to Amanda Gerrish of Hummelstown, who had two birdies while shooting an 86 to best the 13-to-15 field. Megan Adelmen of Bryn Mawr was the runnerup with a 91.
   Ava O’Sullivan of Exton finished third with a 97 and Paige Richter of Camp Hill was fourth with a 98.
   Daniel Shin of Horsham topped the field of nine-holers with a 7-over 43 for his first Junior Tour win of the season. Kayla Maletto of Sinking Spring, not far from LedgeRock, was the runnerup with a 45.
   Joshua Baker of West Chester and Tori Barson of Glenside shared third place, each carding a 48. The Gooneratnes of Plymouth Meeting accounted for the last two spots as Rhianna finished fifth with a 52 and Fiona was sixth with a 56.
