Paczewski beats the heat with a victory at The Country Club of Scranton



   Logan Paczewski of Dallas got the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Golf Scoreboard SKIMP Pocono Series started Monday with a 6-over 78 at The Country Club of Scranton to take top honors in the 13-to-15 division.
   Paczewski’s round over the 6,494-yard, par-72 Country Club of Scranton layout included a birdie on the par-5 14th hole. Davis Flannery of Wayne was the runnerup with an 83.
   Martin Cryan of Forty Fort finished third with an 84, Roy Anderson of Chadds Ford and Jordan Pick of Sugarloaf shared fourth place, each player carding an 85, Benjamin Galko of Roaring Brook took sixth with an 84 and Michael Hall of Mountain Top placed seventh with a 103.
   Tyler Marchese of Moscow bested the field in the 16-to-18 division with a 79. Sebastian Cimoch of Vandling was the runnerup with an 80. Ryan Keyes of Parsons finished third with an 81 and Holdan Hitchcock of Laceyville took fourth with an 85.
   Sara Hall of Mountain Top was the lone competitor in the girls’ 16-to-18 division and was the winner with a 112.
   Lauren Golden of Wyoming birdied the sixth hole on her way to a victory in the 13-to-15 division with an 87. Morgan Sohosky of Bloomsburg was the runnerup with a 93.
   Audrey Schoebel of King of Prussia took third with a 116 and Amanda Schoebel of King of Prussia was fourth with a 121.
   Among the nine-holers, William Pabst of Roaring Brook Township led the way with a 39. After making a triple bogey on the seventh hole, Pabst birdied the eighth on his way to his 4-over finish. Michael Maslanka of Taylor was the runnerup with a 41.
   James Flickinger of Clarks Summit finished third with a 45, Marshall Wager of State College took fourth with a 47 and Benjamin Sohosky of Bloomsburg and Gwendolyn Powell of Madison Township shared fifth place, each carding a 55.
   Anastasia Gulko of Roaring Brook placed seventh with a 62 and Lorenzo Domiano of Clarks Summit was eighth with a 64.
