Macinanti's 75 at Meadowlands earns him a Junior Tour victory



   Jacob Macinanti of Lancaster carded a 4-over-par 75 to take the top spot in the 16-to-18 division as the Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour kicked off a busy couple of days with a stop at Meadowlands Country Club in Blue Bell Monday.
   Macinanti’s round featured a birdie at the fifth. He finished a shot ahead of runnerup Patrick Sheehan of Doylestown, whose 5-over 76 over the 6,565-yard, par-71 Meadowlands layout included five birdies.
   Radnor High senior Jacob Liberman took third with a 77 and Andrew Gallagher of Mount Laurel, N.J. finished fourth with a 79. Three players – Colin Johnston of Chalfont, Germantown Academy senior Gaven Giampalmi and Ron Robinson Jr. of Hatfield – shared fifth place, each carding an 80.
   Brandon Cassidy of Doylestown placed eighth with an 83, Michael DeColli of Pottsville took ninth with an 84 and Frederick Hammer of Wayne and Christian Rossi of Collegeville rounded out the top 10 as they finished tied for 10th at 85.
   Hayden Moffat of Hatboro went 2-under on the back nine at Meadowlands and had four birdies on his way to a 2-over 73 that gave him the top spot in the 13-to-15 division. Jonathan Lumley of Royersford was a shot back in second with a 3-over 74.
   Mac Costin of Bryn Mawr took third with a 79, Drew Meitner of Lower Gwynedd finished fourth with an 80 and Alex Ryden of Moorestown, N.J. and Dylan Gooneratne of Plymouth Meeting shared fifth place, each carding an 81.
   Jeffery Bozzi of Newtown Square and Axel Kalbach of Royersford finished in a tie for seventh at 82 and Nick Martin of Audubon and Austin Lauver of Lancaster rounded out the top 10 as they tied for ninth at 84.
   Elizabeth Beek of Blue Bell won the girls 13-to-15 division in a match of cards with Maya Torpey of Malvern after both came in with 84s. Kara Kniezewski of Blue Bell finished third with an 85.
Grace Hickey of Downingtown captured top honors in the 16-to-18 division with a 92. Natalie Jacobs of West Chester was the runnerup with a 95.
   Alexandra Mercader of Ambler finished third with a 100, Callie Shinkle of Ewing, N.J. took fourth with a 108, Kate Lupica was fifth with a 112 and Mackenzie Cassidy of Hatboro was sixth with a 128.
   Darren Nolan of Glenside bested the field of nine-holers with a 46. Jack Romeo of Ambler was the runnerup with a 53.
   Brendan Burke of Churchville, Connor Gherghel of Orwigsburg and William Huntley of Lansdale finished in a tie for third, each posting a 55. Molly Gregor of North Wales finished sixth with a 62 and Emma Reilly and Brendan Reilly of Warrington and Megan Adelman of Bryn Mawr finished in a tie for seventh at 63.
