Hartefeld National's Heflin captures WGAP Junior Girls' Championship



   Missed this last week, so here it is …
   Rylie Heflin of Hartefeld National Golf Club edged Caitlin Mahon of Manufactuers Golf & Country Club to claim the Women’s Golf Association of Philadelphia’s Junior Girls’ Championship at Yardley Country Club.
   The title match went the distance before Heflin pulled out the victory on the 18th hole.
   Heflin was the medalist in qualifying with a 76. After a first-round victory, Heflin defeated Brianna Mahon of Manufacturers, 7 and 5, while Caitlin Mahon was claiming a 3 and 2 victory over Lily Yang of Penn Oaks Golf Club in the other semifinal.
   The Junior-Junior division was three days of stroke play with competitors playing nine holes each day.
   Sunshine Gu was right at home on her home course at Yardley, posting rounds of 42, 43 and an outstanding 35 to take the title with a 120 total. Emma Reilly of Commonwealth National Golf Club was the runnerup with rounds of 49, 61 and 56 for a 166 total.
