Barbin bags a Junior Tour win at Moorestown Field Club

Evan Barbin of Elkton, Md. called it “boring golf,” but a 1-over-par round for nine holes for a 12-and-under player is pretty good playing.
Barbin had eight pars and a bogey over the 2,698-yard, par-36 nine at the Moorestown Field Club for a 1-over 37 as he bested the field in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour event just for the nine-holers. He also earned a BagBoy push cart from tournament sponsor BagBoy.
Henry Fish of Malvern was a shot back in second at 2-over 38. Joshua Ryan of Norristown, who has had an outstanding 2016 on the Junior Tour, finished third with a 40. Jack Davis of Newtown Square was fourth with a 42, Nicholas Gross of Downingtown took fifth with a 43 and Nathan Guertler of Merchantville, N.J. placed sixth with a 44.
Darren Nolan of Glenside and Bret Bergey of Downingtown finished in a tie for seventh, each carding a 45, Angelina Tolentino of Mount Laurel, N.J. was alone in ninth place with a 46 and Christopher Buysse of Paoli and Henry Stone of Kennett Square rounded out the top 10 as they finished tied for 10th with 47s.
