DelFranco finishes third in Junior Tour stop at Greate Bay



   Marple Newtown senior Joey DelFranco, one of the Central League’s top players, fired a 6-over 76 to finish third in the 16-to-18 division in a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour stop Sunday at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, N.J.
   David Robbins of Holland won division honors with a 2-over 72 over the 6,417-yard, par-70 Greate Bay layout.  Joe Chambers, a recent Episcopal Academy graduate, finished second at 5-over 75.
   Also in the division, David Hurly of Newtown Square finished 11th with an 81 and Upper Darby senior Michael Wolf finished in a tie for 16th with an 85.
   Alex Mulrooney of Wilmington, Del., won the 13-to-15 division with a 75. Daniel Bastian of Media finished in a tie for third with an 80.
   Also in the division, Mark Farrell and Jeffery Bozzi of Newtown Square were two of the four players tied for 10th with 85s, Michael Bozzi of Newtown Square finished 14th with an 88, Andrew Miller of Bryn Mawr finished 15th with an 89, Jack Cooley of Chadds Ford finished 16th with a 90, Roy Anderson of Chadds Ford finished 19th with a 92, Hayden Smith of Havertown finished in a tie for 20th with a 93 and Corey Kan of Boothwyn and Joe Hayden of Havertown finished tied for 24th with 96s.
   Kan’s older sister Caprian, a junior at Chichester, carded an 84 and got the win as the lone competitor in the 13-to-15 division. Camille O’Halloran of Northfield, N.J. took top honors in the 13-to-15 division with an 83.
   Henry Fish of Malvern won a match of cards with Luke Watson of Royersford to best the field of nine-holers after both players carded 41s. Andrew Damico of Havertown finished in a tie for 10th with a 53.
